PR Course at XIC: Is it worth it?

The PR course is entirely build on industry feedbacks and therefore we are taught what is most relevant and advanced in the PR industry. They aim at making you not just a PR Professional but a communication profesional in all sense.
PR is a women dominated industry, therefore the girls to the boys ratio was 2:8. The faculty that came to teach us were all leading Professionals of PR industry. CEOs and other C suites came to give lectures to us in specialised modules
The placements for PRCC course at XIC is 100%, which is very commendable. Leading PR agencies come for the placements and offer higher packages from industry standards. Also the college life is going to be great with Istorid being the star of year.

Dislikes

As this was a course of 10 months, the schedule for classes was very hectic sometimes and we needed to attend classes from 9.30 Am to 8.30 pm on majority of the days
The fees that I paid that time was affordable for me, but the new fees is a little expensive and will be hard for some people to afford. But it is still very less compared to the other colleges.

Placement Experience:

The placements of PRCC course in XIC are 100% which makes it an excellent college to be in. Leading PR agencies like Adfactors, Genesis, Avian etc come here for the placements. The average package is 5lpa for PR

The faculty that taught us were industry professionals so not only we got theoretical experience but also know about the harsh reality of the industry.
The strict timing taught me time management

Dislikes

at times it felt the management didn't understand our work during film projects.

In my bachelors I knew I wanted to do something in films and during my final year I started searching for colleges for pgd. XIC is one of the few colleges that provides practical knowledge to students instead of focusing more on theoretical knowledge.

XIC: A Pandoras Box Of Mystery’s

The primary environment of the institute was very comprehensive in its approach to welcome diverese students with diverse ideas
The infrastructure involved everything required to learn basics of film making such as a Cine Camera, Film Lights, Editing Softwares etc
Apart from the A grade, industry professionals as faculty which enhanced the learning of basic film making and the intricacies of cinema

Dislikes

The fee should be reduced to a reasonable amount as it might exclude a whole strata of students wanting to study in a premier institute

Placement Experience:

The college doesn't really privide any placements for a film course, however top brands and companies visit the campus for other courses with generous packages and profiles. The percentage of students getting place is a near 98% percent which the institute boasts of

Likes

I liked the professionals teaching in there and also there was a flexibility in other things too
The campus life here is very very excellent, I liked it very much
One can explore himself/herself and I think its the best plus point

Dislikes

I didn't dislike anything but the travelling Distance was very much for me
Also the route on which i used to travel to reach college was very busy
The canteen person person should open its branches over there because of the more number of students

I also have a passion for doing Business and as I don't come from a business family I always wanted to learn how business and real-life situation that comes with business work from day to day also the faculty were very supportive and professional they helped me in my sem as there were a total of 6 exams and the paper were designed from easy to moderate

My favourite place.

Remarks:

It is the best place to learn filmmaking in my opinion. I had an amazing 10 months here. I am still in touch with some of the faculty as they are great mentors as well. The freinds I made here are now my partners in different spheres of life. The campus is also very vibrant.

Admission:

I filled up the registration form which is available on their official website and then downloaded the XIC-OET admit card.This is admit card of the entrance exam the take for selection of the students in the institute. After that also called for personal interview on Skype. I was always interested in marketing subject so I chose this coursee and for me this is the best institute for pursuing the course.

Admission:

I Visited offical website of XIC and filled up the online registration form.The slection is on the basis of the entrance test they take that is OET-XIC.After being shortlisted there is online interview.XIC is one of the highly esteemed institute.And i am happy i was the student of XIC.

Admission:

The eligibility of the candidates was counted based on the qualifying exam as well as online entrance exam and personal interview. I gave the entrance and cleared and then luckily also cleared the personal interview to get admission.

XIC - The best time of my life!

Admission:

I first applied for the entrance exam and was shortlisted there. They asked me to come in for a group discussion, after that i was asked to attend a personal interview where they asked me basic generic questions like why i want to do the course. After few weeks they contacted me and told me i got admitted.

Xavierian journey

Admission:

XIC is one of the best colleges in the country and the admission process to the college is rigid. Therefore the college is worth your troubles. For my course i had to give an entrance exam, then sit in for a GD after which there was a PI for the remaining students.
