After completing my 10+2, I decided to pursue my further education in craft and design and in no time, I found out about the Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] + Master of Vocational Studies [M.Voc.] (Crafts & Design) offered at Indian Institute of Crafts and Design - [IICD], Jaipur.
The students can apply online to join up with the course and they need to clear the personal interview round to enroll in the college. The college conducts counseling sessions for those who?ve cleared the rounds.
Indian Institute of Crafts and Design or IICD is a premier institution of the country offering creative knowledge and education to the students. M. Voc soft material design course is provided to the students who have 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized Indian Board. The students will be selected on the basis of entrance and merit including interview.
The procedure for admission remains to be the same for all the courses. It begins with filling up the registration form and paying Rs. 1750/- for its submission. Then, comes the entrance exam that has two sections with varying weightage. After the student has cracked the exam, there comes the personal interview. Detailed information is shared on the official website but, a point to remember is that the student must be in a state of calm and relaxation to make sure that he is able to produce something satisfactory during the exam and be confident during the interview.
Only those students can apply for the course who have completed their bachelor's in relevant course. I gave their entrance exam which was then followed by an interview for final selection of the students.
One amazing thing about IICD is that the industry exposure that it provides to it's students, a number of international students also come to this amazing college for studying. being a student I can tell you this that IICD is the right place to be at if you want to pursue a career in arts and craft.
The admissions to IICD are no joke, you have to go through a multi level process, the first step being an entrance exam, the next being an conceptual test and the final being the personal interview. I cracked all the three stages and managed to get admission into this amazing college.
