There are a lot of clubs where you can join to get the Best opportunities for your skills. You will be able to interact and learn a lot of things apart from your course. These clubs conduct lot of activities and workshops .
U get to interact with seniors and faculties . You can socialize more as it is co-ed and it does dont have much restrictions. You are free to go to library and grab the books of your choice. You get to make good friends in the hostel and outside
Marena is a sport building. You will have indoor courts, gym , and many more games. You will have auditions for getting selected in the team. There are a lot of sports teams in the college which will have tournaments and mathes with other colleges.
Dislikes
There is fee for marena. 2000 for gym and 1200 for 1 he badminton court everyday. I feel as we are already paying a lot of fee for the hotel we should be able to do the other things for free.
Constructions going on everywhere inside the campus. As mit ble is recently established like around 5 years back it has a lot of construction work left. There s sound dust always inside the campus.
There is entry fee for all the events conducted by the clubs. I feel if its a college event then it should be for free. It is our own college event. The is penalty fee for almost everything and also it is high. Makeups and backlogs are also high
Placement Experience:
Many top companies like microsoft, ibm, intel, amazon etc have took people from our college. We get on campus placements. We do projects from second year and are allowed to take internships. Mostly from 3rd year many people get interships. My branch has an approx avg package of 10 lacks. The heighest is i guess 36 lacks but ece has a heigher package than cse. 90 percent of the students get placed. After i complete degree . Ill prolly be placed somewhere . If not i will do masters
The location opportunity is very well as in close to airport
The weather is just apt for a person coming from north
The course is good and the facilities of hostels too
Dislikes
Course is little less practical maybe it’s the same for all
It rains randomly in a day and u get stuck at places
Faculty is decent and nice but can be better
Course Curriculum Overview:
It's the best and comprehensive, the teachers and their teaching habits are also nice... the frequency of exams are also good to keep us engaging for the whole semester, and the difficulty level is not that much
The faculty of my college are really good. they all seem well versed in their respective fields and are always ready to help you no matter what. You're never left in doubt when comes to topics taught in class.
The hotel in terms of it's room and quality is pretty top notch. They maintain it really well and the aid they provide is instant when it comes to cleanliness or additional help.
The crowd in my college is very good. It's diverse and the people including the seniors are always helpful.
Dislikes
The mess service in my college is pretty bad. The food isn't cooked well enough. It doesn't live up to the mark of how they advertise it.
The college fests and events are mediocre and they can be improved by a huge margin considering the status of this college.
The laundry service is pretty bad in terms of the quality oof the wash.
Course Curriculum Overview:
My course is CSE with DS, i choose this course because i love data management and data science. It is appealing and i really enjoy studying it. My course curriculum is pretty relevent to my course and it really shows when im in my classes and the subjects i'm studying talk about it. My curriculum is also organisized in such a way that is helps me prepare for real world organisations, for eg, in my course i have a subject called 'Mathematical foundationd for data science' which has topics like statistics and probility which have a wide realiton to real world topics and help me prepare for realy world application in accordance to my course.
Although my course is good, it isn't perfect as i'd say it can be imporved to help the students more.
Regarding examinations, the difficulty of the exams is standard whereas the timing of the exams seems odd, we don't get enough time to prime for our examinations and it eventually leaves the students really stressed and they don't end up performing up to their mark.
The campus is really well built and looks very pretty. The hostels are very luxurious although pricey. The sports facilities are well maintained and readily available
Faculty are kind and understanding, some of which teach very well and have vast knowledge of their subject. lab facilities are very good with every pc having enough specs to run smoothly
Campus culture and people are relatively pretty good easy to interact with others. Girl to boy ratio is pretty good compared to other engineering colleges. It's around 65:35 ratio
Dislikes
Location of the college is pretty bad nothing is nearby and on top of that the campus curfew is 9:30 so it's hard to go out due to everything being so far and curfew being so esrly
College makes you pay for everything. Even after paying so much fees they make you buy lab manuals, lab records and don't give any notebooks form their side either
Shops within campus which sell food are overpriced and not at all what should be there in a college campus
Placement Experience:
Our campuses first ever placements are going on right now. Students are eligible for placements from 4th year only. 3rd year they can get internship offers which can turn into placement offers. Currently the highest package achieved by students is 35lpa. Which for the first ever placement is pretty good. The placements are still going on with big companies like nvidia, oracle, Amazon, Flipkart, bigbasket etc. the average package will be around 8-10 lpa once fully completed. As it's still going on the % of students who will be placed is hard to tell.
I plan on working for 2 years from my placement and try going abroad for masters.
The college has been started since three years now
Dislikes
Some of the infrastructure are yet to be built , which has been bad for the early batches but as of now (2024)
Placement Experience:
As of now the college hasn't had its first placement batch since it's been started since only three years, but it should mostly be in par with its parent college MAHE,manipal.
Bengaluru being an IT hub is also promising for internship and placement opportunities.
Overall the placements should be good enough as said by the management but the reality is yet to be seen .( As of 2024)
Positives - good faculties, good infrastructure, hostel is very secured , crowd is decent and well mannered.
Hostel food in mit is better than most of the hostels in bangalore
Time table for college is more convenient and has more freedom compared to other bangalore college
Dislikes
Hostel curfew is only till 9:30 , find of 500 rs will be imposed if arrived late after 9:30
No PG/ APARTMENTS. Within 3 km radius, bsf air force is right opposite to hostel so no highrise buildings.
No big complexes or shops nearby , small shops and majority of it being open land, which is pretty boring especially being 20kms away from the city and curfew being 9:30 , we miss a lot of fun.
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th semester (4th year ).
Companies like Bosch, Microsoft, tcs ,ibm etc visit for placements
Students eligible for placements should have minimum 6 GPA above based on company requirements .. for a good company u need an average of 7.5 cgpa.
My plans after getting degree is to work for some time and do MBA along with it .
All the classes are equiiped with smartboards and projectors, with ccts all around the campus , the campus is wifi covered, hostels are top class if compared to other colleges, u will get ample space in the hostels, all the hostels are newly built,
Student Snaps:
Placement Experience:
almost 95% of students get placed in top MNCs. the companies include - Accenture, Adani, aAndritzhydro, anglo easter, autorabit, Birla soft, bosch, Byju, Infosys, Capgemini, cognizant, connive, dell, Deloitte, Ericsson, Hitachi, hero, intel and many other more top companies. due to the location- Bangalore,
My idea of college life is life outside college life and MIT Bangalore gives us a great life beyond academics.
MIT technical club has developed a solar project which was presented to state government and they received immediate findings from government bodies.
The dramatic societies of MIT are known for partying wild and one needs that during their college lives.
Dislikes
The faculties are a little biased towards the Kannada students and this is the only drawback I have seen thus far.
Placement Experience:
MITs placements are impeccable as students gets placed in numbers. Once we enter the final year, the placements cell gets active and confirm with each and every student about their preferences. It is my personal recommendation that students should be in touch with placements cell as they are doing a great job in getting the students placed in organisation of their choice. From Infosys to L&T Infotech the college has tie ups with almost all the big names in IT Industry.
Cricket ground, football ground, basketball ground
Food court, hostel rooms, lobby area, etc
Dislikes
Small area, bathrooms, toilets, cupboards
Canteen, cycle parking, laundry , timings
Outpass process, day out process, that's it
Course Curriculum Overview:
The classrooms infrastructure was so good And it consists of 4 ac's Classroom consitis of 65 people and There are many sports like volleyball and basketball football etc and here we have many outdoor courts
Only some staff teaching and some maintenance issues
Placement Experience:
Here from 7th sem students will be eligible for campus placements and min cgpa would be 6
