SSIMS Faculty

The faculty at this college is well-educated and experienced, with most members having served at top Indian colleges. In the first year, students attend three lectures and two practicals for each of the three subjects. In the second professional year, there are two lectures, a three-hour clinical posting, and a two-hour practical for four subjects. The final professional year includes two lectures and postings for all subjects. Each department has at least 5-6 faculty members, including doctors and tutors, ensuring a faculty-to-student ratio of 1.06.

Faculty members are either postgraduates or have super-specialty qualifications, except tutors who are undergraduates (MBBS). The environment is conducive to learning, with faculty being approachable, often creating WhatsApp groups for communication. The college assigns mentors to help students navigate their courses. The examination structure includes three internal exams and a yearly university exam, with a passing requirement of approximately 80 out of 200 marks in each subject.
