For candidates in the General category, the minimum overall and sectional cutoffs needed for admission to DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad will remain 80 percentile and 85 percentile, respectively. Candidates are chosen for the Personal Interview (PI) round if they have a valid CAT 2022 score, which is more than 85 percentile overall (down from 90 percentile) and 80-85 percentile sectional (down from 90 percentile).

In order to shortlist the applicants for the MBA admission 2022 final selection round, DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad will give 30% weight to Academics & Diversity and 70% weight to CAT 2022 score, which was 80% in the previous year. Additionally, DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad will not administer the WAT (Written Aptitude Test) for the class of 2022-2024. DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad MBA Selection Criteria (2023-25):

The CAT scores of the applicants will be used to determine admission to the MBA programme at DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. A 3 stage admission process is used at DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. The minimum percentile required for selection are as follows:

Selection Process 

Stage 1: Registration of Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements

Candidates who meet the requirements will get an email with instructions for online registration. Only candidates who have registered will be considered for the second round of admission. The next phase will involve a written test and an in-person interview with DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.

Stage 2: Personal interview

Candidates who score in the top 80% of the CAT must register for a personal interview. DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad will evaluate applicants who are selected for the PI round based on their CAT score, past academic performance, attitude, personality, communication skills, and work experience.

Following evaluation, a resume score will be prepared, and then finally a merit list by category will be generated.

Stage 3: Final Selection

The final merit list will be prepared by DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad based on CAT Score, performance in Personal Interview, and Resume Score after the Written Test and Personal Interview for admission. Finally, DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad will send qualified applicants their admission offers via email.

DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad GATE Cut off for M.Tech

The candidate must hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in order to apply for the M.Tech in Industrial Engineering & Management at DMS IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. They must also have a valid GATE score for the year 2022.
