Symbiosis Institute of Design provides different types of scholarships to its students based on their academic performance. These scholarships are a reward for the student’s excellent performance in different domains. Most of the scholarships are awarded by Symbiosis International University at the university level. Symbiosis Institute of Design Merit Scholarship offers a 50% academic fee waiver to eligible candidates. The students have to apply for the scholarship after meeting the eligibility criteria and filling out the application form.

Scholarships offered by Symbiosis Institute of Design are as follows-

• Merit Scholarship for Semester Topper – Post Graduate and Under Graduate

• Merit Scholarship Scheme for Students from North-East Region (NER)

Symbiosis Institute of Design Merit Scholarship

Symbiosis Institute of Design Merit scholarship is offered by the “Symbiosis Society Foundation”. The authority offers this scholarship to one of the meritorious students of Symbiosis Institute of Design. It gives a 50% academic fee waiver to the beneficiary. The scholarship amount will not be paid to the student and will be adjusted in the academic fee as mentioned. However, a scholarship amount cheque will be issued in the last semester.

Symbiosis Institute of Design Merit Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 

Students have to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below to apply for the Symbiosis Institute of Design Merit Scholarship.

• Students having a minimum of 8.50 GPA.
• The student should not have any backlog.
• The student can avail of only one of the scholarships as per his/her preference granted by the university.

Important Note: If two or more students qualify for the merit scholarship by Symbiosis Institute of Design, the weighted average of marks of class 10 and 12th will be considered as a tie-breaker.

Symbiosis Institute of Design Sports Scholarship

Symbiosis Institute of Design Sports scholarship aims to recognize and reward the students based on their performance in the sports field. The beneficiaries of this scholarship usually include students who have represented Symbiosis University at the National University Games or National Games in various sports.

• The scholarship is awarded to five students at the university level.
• The students are selected based on their performance in the state-level, national-level, and international tournaments.
• The selected students are offered INR 24,000 as a scholarship reward.

Symbiosis Institute of Design NER Scholarship

Symbiosis Institute of Design NER scholarship is available for students coming from North Eastern regions comprising eight states as follows, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram and Sikkim. The scholarship covers a full academic fee waiver for the students. A total of 8 NER scholarships are available at the undergraduate level.

Symbiosis Institute of Design NER Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 

Students have to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below to apply for the Symbiosis Institute of Design NER Scholarship.

• Applicant must have qualified SET/SNAP/Any other entrance examination conducted by SIU with a valid score.
• The student must possess the domicile certificate of any of the eight states.
• Student must have scored at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST) in class 12th examination.

Symbiosis Institute of Design NER Scholarship Documents Required

The following documents must be submitted in order to apply for the Symbiosis Institute of Design NER Scholarship.

• Academic Transcript to support academic excellence
• LOR from Principal of college/Elected representative of people/Gazetted officer 
• Statement of Purpose
• Any other document that the applicant wishes to submit in his/her support

The student has to fill in the application form after meeting the eligibility criteria with the necessary documents asked for. Selection of the beneficiary is based on academic achievements, statement of purpose, references, and other documents submitted.
