- There is a good opportunity for scholarships for the underprivileged, as well as for those with great academic performance.
- Teachers are very helpful. classrooms are well conditioned & library is rich in medical books & journals.
- The rigorous selection process, primarily based on neet scores and merit, ensures that the institution welcomes the brightest and most dedicated minds.
Dislikes
- There is no ground for sport.so we cannot easily play sport in our college for sports we depends others college ground.
- There is no separation of hospital and college so, student's have no privacy during hospital hours.
- Hostel food was not so good sometime.....

- The college offers almost all medical degrees including MBBS and various postgraduate & postdoctorate courses. The college offers best education via practical learning through clinical rotations in various departments in the hospital.
- The faculty is generally good and experienced with some who are excellent as professors. The faculty are helpful and interactive. They are also supportive of students who want to engage in some research work.
- As RGKMCH is one of the top medical college of WB, there is sea of patients in the hospital. So, for med students the clinical exposure is of highest level. The infrastructure comprises of old and new buildings with scope of improvement.
Dislikes
- As the campus is small there is no such happening campus life.
- The campus is after all a public hospital so it lacks cleanliness.
- As the hostel beds are limited, so it is difficult for each student to get hostel.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Becoming a doctor is the major aspect that influences a student to pursue this course. The MBBS curriculum in itself is practical based and prepares the students to help real people with various real world ailments.
Recent improvements have been done by making the course more clinical based than just factual rote learning information.
As mentioned earlier mainly 4 university exams are held at an interval of 12 months approximately. But numerous tests, quizzes and internal assessments are held. Depending on the college and the department HODs the test and quizzes interval can be every week to fortnightly to every months and internal assessments every 6 months.

- Academic of RGKMCH is overwhelming. Professor are much experienced so that u can't face any problem regarding academic.
- Infrastructure of college is good .OPD, TRAUMA CENTRE & EMERGENCY are functional and are excellent.
- Almost 9-10 fest occur in Rgkmch in a year.
Dislikes
- Small campus of RGKMCH makes it very busiest and populated.
- Except auditorium, no any ground is in Rgkmch.
- Some hostel are far away from the college campus.
Course Curriculum Overview:
MBBS course is slightly difficult than others because u have to read very much in each year. After the ug , u also have to read in pg. during this course u have to give 2 competitive exam . That is NEET UG & NEET PG . On the basis of score in the exam , college are allotted.

- Quality of teaching, infrastructure,library, senior junior relationship
- Professors teach very well. Quality of lectures provided are too good
- In dissection enough cadavers are given for each group. No ragging happens.
Dislikes
- First year girls hostel is a dormitory. Rooms are always better. Dormitory is dirty and not maintained. Bathrooms are also dirty.
- Campus is small as it was a private college earlier
- Patient load is much higher . Which is good and bad both.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course is very vast but if you study daily then it will be easy. Don't fall for freshers bias. Exams are definitely easier than neet.
Part syllabus completion test are taken after completing a chapter in anatomy department and vivas are arranged to prepare us for physiology exam in every 2 weeks.

- The Faculty of almost every department is very helpulf and very experienced in their respective fields.
- The Library and Auditorium are one of a kind.
- The patient load is very good , so during internship it helps to see patients with a wide variety of conditions
Dislikes
- There is no separation of hospital and college so, student's have no privacy during hospital hours.
- As the patient load is huge and space is limited , it's a bit too crowded here.
- There is no playground for students. So for sports we have to rent grounds fromother colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview:
MBBS is one of the most relevant degrees in India as India, especially the rural parts of India, does not have sufficient doctors when it comes to our huge population.
The curriculum includes patient interaction from the beginning of 2nd year itself, which leads to a better understanding of the course.
The patient interaction with students during the 2nd and 3rd year could be managed in a better way.
The exams here are moderate, and the frequency depends on the year and subject.
There are minimum 3 semester exams and 1 professional exam every year. Which includes practical examination as well.

- Our college has really nice and well maintained dermatology and Gastroenterology department
- Annual College Festivals in R.g.kar medical College are really a thing to be proud of
- It has a spacious library that has different reading sections.
Dislikes
- No playgrounds are present inside campus
- Our pre clinical subjects departments are a bit weak compared to other top medical colleges
- Cleanliness is often found compromised in the ER and Trauma care centre
Course Curriculum Overview:
MBBS course is definitely one of the toughest hurdle of any student who ha recently passed NEET. The syllabus is huge and needs utmost attention and care. Frequency of exams are also tiring for most of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum of the course is very authentic and related to real life problem. The academic members carefully complete their syllabus within time. But as the teacher students ratio is very less(1:250). There is need some modifications.
