Likes

I liked the affordability of the course, its uniqueness.
The classrooms and library are well made and structured, the college also has it's own clinic.
State of the art instruments for PTA, ABR, OAE testing, a friendly and educational environment, competition is very much there. We get hands on expereince in dealing with clients while taking case history, testing them and for counselling.

Dislikes

Things I dislike, the building isn't maintained properly, zero hygiene, students don't get frequent classes.
No notes or explanation provided, the environment can turn toxic as well.

Placement Experience:

Placements depend on the companies willing to organise an interview with the students. 75% of the students landed a job for 50000 after internship. Only one company visited us this year. On an average the package would be starting from 35000. My plans after getting my degree are to get a job and upskill myself soon after.

It is an national institute having some other regional centres
The faculty of this college had well experience with PhD degrees
The practical base program is more in this college

Dislikes

Practical knowledge is more but theory is less
Low maintenance of college and slow rate of work
Clinical interaction is more than classes

This course (BASLP) is the 4 years program with 6 semesters and 10 months of internship. The internship is provided by the college . During internship the college pays stipend for the students. The overall college fee expenditure is upto 90000

I always wanted to do unique course form others so I decided to do this course and we have good futurr in this Faculty: student ratio is 6:10 Our faculty minimum qualification is PhD in audiology and speech language pathology. The terms exams will declared by the central government. It's not difficult to pass the term exams

Remarks:

Because it's a Government institute One can gain more practical knowledge. But it would be better if classes are regular. Library is good. Fee is reasonable comparing to private colleges. Need to have more patience if you want any information. Institute environment is good. Institute infracstructure is very bad.

Good exposure but supreme frustration

Remarks:

Administration is horribly managed and dependent on one person. The head is not very involved. Most of The staff is incompassionate. It is a frustating and unhealthy environment for most students. But it teaches us a lot including self reliance, hard work and insane management and coping skills.

Remarks:

Pros. 100% placement, good demand in this field. One can easily earn 10k per day. This college is under central Govt (Ministry of social justice and empowerment) so tution fee is very less. This is situated in kolkata. Cons. Very less people know about this subject hence scare to take it as career.

In my point of view I will give 4 out of 5 rating to my college. So lot of positive aspects is there. Lot of clinical exposure is there. To compare with other college it's good. You can get conference to deal the patient. One year internship program also there
