SMS Lucknow Faculty

The college boasts a highly qualified faculty, with most holding PhD degrees and providing excellent education and support to students. The faculty encourages practical learning through projects and provides a conducive environment for gaining knowledge and skills. The course curriculum, prescribed by SCERT, includes hands-on training of 30-35 days in schools, although it follows an old-school exam system with mandatory file submissions. Exams are conducted three times a year with two internals and one term-end exam, and students must maintain a 75% attendance rate to qualify for exams.

Classes are held five days a week, with eight sessions daily, each lasting 45-50 minutes. The faculty-student relationship is strong, supported by a mentor-mentee system, with a faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 1:160. There is a diverse course offering including BTech, BCom, BBA, and MBA, among others. The exam structure includes three sessionals and one semester exam per semester. The faculty is noted for their responsiveness, supportiveness, and ability to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge, albeit with some room for improvement in practical coding skills.

However, some faculty members are perceived as less approachable. The college's faculty is seen as one of its greatest assets, significantly contributing to the educational experience.
