Indian Institute of Arts & Design Delhi offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Design, under diverse specialisations. Candidates are enrolled based on their entrance scores. Candidates must note that admissions at IIAD Delhi are currently underway. Eligible candidates, if interested, may apply by following an online or offline mode of application.

A popular program at IIAD Delhi is Bachelors of Design, offered in 6 specialisations. Candidates should have cleared 10+2 with 50%, and have valid iDAT Scores, to be eligible for admission. IIAD fees for Interior Design specialisation is INR 5.8 Lakhs for the first year.

IIAD Undergraduate Admissions 2026

Under the UG domain, Indian Institute of Art & Design offers BDes, and BBA under various specialisations. Candidates who have cleared 10+2 with 50%, are eligible for admission. All details of popular IIAD courses are given below.

IIAD Application Process 2026

Indian Institute of Art & Design Delhi offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Design, Management, and Business Administration. IIAD Admissions are conducted in online as well as offline modes. Candidates are selected based on their iDAT and iMAT scores for the program of their choice. For the upcoming admission cycle of 2026, IIAD fees for application is INR 2500.

How to Apply Online for IIAD Admission 2026?

Eligible candidates, if interested, may follow the steps below to apply online for IIAD Delhi Admissions.

Candidates must visit the official website of IIAD Admission.
Choose the “Click Here to Apply” tab under the preferred course.
Candidates will see a new window displaying the “Application Form”.
The applicant must then fill in the necessary information like Name, Email Address, Preferred Course, etc.
Click on Register, and pay an application fee of INR 2500.

Ques. What is the iDAT examination like at IIAD Delhi?

Ans. Candidates applying to design programmes at IIAD Delhi are required to undergo the iDAT exam as part of a two-phase screening process, which includes the written test followed by a Portfolio Evaluation or Interview round. The IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) is a written test designed to assess a candidate’s creative and visual ability, cultural awareness, and logical thinking. The exam includes visual tasks, writing tasks, one-word answers, and multiple-choice questions.

Ques. What is the iMAT, at Indian Institute of Art & Design Delhi?

Ans. Candidates applying to management programmes are required to undergo the iMAT exam as part of a two phase screening process, which includes the written test followed by a personal interview. The IIAD Management Aptitude Test (iMAT) is a written test designed to assess an applicant’s language proficiency, logical reasoning, and creative thinking. The exam includes multiple-choice questions and writing tasks, after which candidates appear for the personal interview.

Ques. Is there a Lateral Entry admission option available at IIAD Delhi?

Ans. IIAD Delhi accepts applications for transfer to their design courses from candidates who have completed at least 1 year of design degree/diploma programme from a nationally or internationally recognized design institute. The student will be evaluated based on an interview and the portfolio of work at the previous design institute. Candidates can apply for the same via the institute’s official admission portal.

Need some anarchy in IIAD

Admission:

Design colleges have entrance exams that we have to clear, and the results are declared after like a month. If you make it then they send you an offer letter. You have to apply for the exam through the college's website and have to pay the entrance fee for the exam.

Admission:

The reason I pursued Communication Design from IIAD was because of its affiliation with Kingston University, course curriculum along with their teaching method. The admission was based on an entrance examination which was conducted to test the design aptitude of the student.

IIAD - One of the best design Colleges in the country

Admission:

IIAD is one of the best design colleges in the country. The best part about it is that the degree provided by them is internationally recognised. Students who graduate from IIAD receives a Kingston University degree. Amazing Experience

Admission:

The reason why I chose IIAD was because of its Fashion Business Management course curriculum and its international recognition. Students enrolled at IIAD receives a Kingston University degree. The course curriculum for Fashion Business management is really holistic in nature and by the end of the degree, the student becomes industry-ready. The college has a non-conventional method of teaching and most of the learning is practically based. Also, each student gets required attention because of its student-teacher ratio, which is 15:1. Overall, till now IIAD has provided me with almost everything that I expected and I am learning a lot, both professionally as personally.

I miss my college life at IIAD!

Admission:

I am very happy to have chosen IIAD. My reasons to select it over the other private colleges: 1. They offer two degrees -I have graduated with an international degree from KU and another from Lingaya which is a UGC approved degree. At the time of joining, I wasn't sure what I would pursue after college so this degree made me feel secure about my future plans. Other private colleges didn't have this. 2. The teachers - I met some of them during the admission process and they were so helpful. 3. I loved the fact that the campus was very close to my house so I wasn't going to spend a lot of time commuting.

Remarks:

It's promising future.It's faculty, which is very friendly.Basically it is a college for art students who wants to do something really good in the design field. It not only gives a degree certificate but also a diploma certificate. Our college ranks under top 10 designing colleges of India. It is also affiliated to the kingston university london.Overall it is a very good college to study designing.

Admission:

An IDAT test followed an interview to show the portfolio. The Creative Ability Test was written in the May 2016 paper. For the portfolio, the drawing shows illustrations or any work. The results have been announced as of June and for fees. Classes began on August 13. Psychology Career Choice.

BA Hons in IIAD

Admission:

To get admission within the college I had to pass 12th board examination with Humanities and Arts. Science and Commerce were also eligible. After that I had to give an IIAD Entrance Examination with two rounds i.e. Part A and Part B. The first part involved iDAt and the second one included Studio simulation.
