I have not yet graduated but as far as i have seen placement opportunities are pretty good.
Students are very much dedicated to their works.you can enjoy lot of cultural and festival program.you can see so many responsibly students who dedicatly doing their works towards college.many notable alumini were studied here in stella maris.
The subjects were very easy as well as useful for the future careers

Dislikes

Eventhough the campus is full of trees and all it is very small compared to other colleges in chennai. There is no auditorium that can accomodate the entire students. It is really inconvenient sometimes.
Govt transport was not adequate and we had to stand for hours to board buses.
Stella was strict about students leaving earlier before the closing bell.

My experience in Stella Maris College and BSW degree program

Likes

Stella Maris College is an All girls College!
The faculty are well experienced and open to teach flexibly
The ambience is serene and the library has ample books in a vintage theme

Dislikes

Ques in canteen that are never ending in our college
We need to walk to every department to attend various classes in the first year
Climbing stairs and being on time to classes and also the attendance is stressful as it's 85% compulsory attendance to write exams

Placement Experience:

students who are interested to start their own NGO's can register their NGO under the trusts act or any other act collect necessary funds to get registered and get their recognition, students take up PhD to excel in the field of Social Work and engage themselves in huge projects or even become professors or mentors. The package can be 2LPA after UG degree and can be 3 to 4LPA after PG degree My plans are to prepare for UPSC during pursuing my BSW degree and after that I would give my attempt when I become eligible

The faculty In my college is very kind and supportive
The canteens in my college is a wide spread of variety
The syllabus in my college is very easy and very short

Dislikes

the advanced French subject and I find that very difficult to pass
I hate that we don’t have western washrooms and only have Indian
It will be nice if they provided water bottles in the canteen

Course Curriculum Overview:

So, my curriculum in my college is very easy considering I am a part of the social work group. So, that teaches me very different things, the practical knowledge is always greater than the theoretical part in my group and it teaches about humanities. Like I learn about the human behaviour and how to help people who go through difficulties.
