St. Xavier's College Kolkata is a very reputed college and getting admission into this college had always been my dream. I chose B.COM because the scope of B.COM is wide and it can get me into a good career.

This is one of the best college in India and it full fill all the criteria and the quality of education provided is very good.

My college is the best for this course in the city and amongst top 10 in India.

All the faculty members and college facility are very good. I will say, enjoyed a lot in college campus itself in Xavotsav event, the biggest event in Kolkata they have a celebration of every year. So it's good in all

The application is made online. A merit list of students who qualify the cut off is declared by the college. These students are then called for an interview on the basis of which final selections are made.

For B. Com, there was a merit list based on ISC marks. I also got into BMS which has a merit list based on ISC percentage and an entrance test combined. I chose B. Com because it's more comprehensive.

The companies names Delloites India Delloites International, PWC, Futures, HDFC bank, CITI Banks etc visit our college every year for the placement facility. the profiles are offered are generally Analytical and accounts related but it depends on the requirement of the company. The process of placement varies company-wise and the college never interferes with them. The salary structure offered is also genuine.

The morning department starts at 6 am strictly and 75% attendance is compulsory, so that’s kind of difficult to manage. Also the infrastructure is not up to the mark, however the library is one of the best.

Positives include brand image, solid backbone and strong alumni association. Every well recognized in and outside the country with a A++ rating. Drawbacks include the semester exams clashing with professional courses and strict checking resulting is poor grades as compared to the rest of the country.

I have said it all. There's always to say about college. And just like every institutions, it has its perks and cons. Overall, it was a good experience to study in Xavier's and be one of them, to be a part of it.
