Likes

The fee was fine and manageable the scholarship was provided by govt as well and placement was good i could say, most probably nice number of companies visit the campus and there is a huge competition among all of them
The hostel is private and our hostel fee per month is 5500 our hostel is located in a nice environment the food tastes good in our hostel everyone is friendly.
Our college gives equal opportunities for studies as well as sports many participate actively and get prizes.

Dislikes

I don't like sometimes faculty being rude enough
Uhm wht i do not like is they do not allow students who are a bit late to college to attend classes
College is small and short no saficent place

St. Ann's College for Women, HYD is a good degree college than most of the colleges and has good faculty and facilities.

Likes

The College Library has good collection of books.
Exposure to Internships, Projects and so on by individual departments.
We had project as a core subject in the last semester.

Dislikes

Watchmen and cleaning ladies are rude to the students.
Timings are too early so it might be difficult for students coming from far.
There are no campus hostels in the college.

Placement Experience:

College has a placement cell. Final year students can register for placements through placement cell. Placements are numerous with a good package for B.com and BBA courses. However it was a bit difficult for life science students. We only got few placements for life sciences.

The Second Year Review

Likes

Teachers are nice and gentle with the students.
I love the people in the college, they're all sweet.
Love the college staffs so much. The aunties who clean and take care of everything.

Dislikes

The canteen, it is too small in size making it crowdy every lunch break.
The strict rules given by the principal.
More like a school than a college and it gets frustrating at times.

Our college does provide placements, its just that I do not have much knowledge about it. The placements are probably just for the third years which is our seniors and probably for the top ranking students. So sorry i have not much information about it.

A thoughtful review to an excellent institution

Likes

The facilities for sports interested students
The library was soo much convenient during exams
The teaching staff is good and understanding

Dislikes

The attendance issue was a little headache
The hall tickets used to be in hold for wierd reasons
Canteen used to get closed early during the lunch time

I would rate it 6 because there could be added more to the course. The information given was quite had the impact but not in broad way .....it is being useful to me because the further studies i opt so ig it not too bad

St. Ann's college for women - Heaven or Hell ?

Likes

Teachers were very supportive, and the methods of teaching was good. Lecturers were there at the time of requirements in studies and cleared doubts in their free time.
Campus life was pretty good, there is a sports room where you get to play indoor games like Chess, Carrom and TT. Also you can take Basketball and Football after your class hour and play in the ground. We do have a basketball court.
Learning facilities are upto the mark. we have workshops conducted in college, Various guest lectures or seminars and also field visits , where a student can gain industrial insight.

Dislikes

Some lecturers are not so good at teaching and often would get irritated when we asked doubts. Sometimes the management [ Sisters and other staff ] were rude to students and yelled at us
We do have a basketball court and football ground, but we were only allowed to play after 2.10 which was very irritating.
The washrooms were unclean and the ventilation in class was poor as we were a batch of 100 students.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are usually in the third year. It starts from the 5th semester, where you get internship oppurtunities, and then in the 6th sem, compaines like Deloite, Amazon, Wipro, etc.. come for offering letters to students. Basically there are more finance and analtyics role these compaines have to offer. Also the package is just between 2-3 Lakhs for most of the students. Highest is around 5 lakhs

Some information about st Ann’s college for women

Likes

Sufficient information we need are provided in the library
Good placements provided after the graduation. The college also host various intern programs
Good faculties and very thorough with their teaching subject

Dislikes

The environment where the college is located is not very suitable
Campus is very small and the washrooms are unhygienic
Too extra subjects for the final year students which causes distractions to focus in their main papers

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses are more like a based on how the British schools were in India. The Britishers taught only some subjects with less knowledge about it or no deep learning of one particular subject . As I'm in my final year BA and my combinations are history,literature and political science, so I have three main papers while my friends in other colleges have only one main papers with deep study of it. They organised three exams in a semester i.e 2 internals(20marks) and the other end semester(70) exam

Good faculty and infrastructure but lacs lab equipments

Faculty is good especially biochemistry explains with depth
Library is great especially their web library is nice
Not only studies but this college also encourages sports and also there will be many events going on.

Dislikes

When I have joined in the college principal was very good to students but as new principal has come it is quite different
Labs are small with not much materials and tools
Although academics is good but few departments such as biotech needs to improve

Course Curriculum Overview:

The practical knowledge I could say is good enough to gain knowledge in this field but compared to the btech biotech BSc includes comparatively less practical training. We were only given glimpse and theory of specific experiments due to unavailability of certain equipments. Exams are however manageable to certain extent but comparing to other life sciences this course is bit difficult to deal with.

St Ann's Degree College provided placement but the salary was 15000 and for freshers. there is only a limited company and small companies like call center etc. this was the company the college provided for freshers

Likes

Nice infrasturcture, including ground, basket ball court to play games.
Full security for students, they can't go outside unless and until they had a permission from dean or principal.

Dislikes

Last minute record submission will be there which is stress for students.
Less preparation holidays for students for exam to prepare for exam

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year or 5th semester students are elligible for campus placements. They need to register for campus placements firstly by paying 500/- amount. There will be placement app where we get all notifications of companies or placement cell.

Life of Annitie!

Likes

the college campus is very vast and huge with canteen facility and ground facility to play variety of games.
The faculty who are very good in their subjects and teaches us so well.
The educational facility provided such as separate labs for each department which helps students gain knowledge practically.

Dislikes

The pg block doesn't get the chance to participate in various cultural activities always
College lunch break is too short for a span of just 30minutes

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placements. Deloitte, Genpact, TCS etc are some of the companies that came for campus placements . The highest package was 6.5lakhs and average package was 3lakhs. The students who got placed are generally the students who scored above 70%. I'm planning to further improve my knowledge and skills in finance and grow in the field of finance .

Likes

Faculty teaching, books provided in library.
Freedom,food,people friends, campus freedom.
I liked the infrastructure of my campus medical Centre.

Faculty members are very friendly they clarify any other doubts. The course I have taken is very interesting and the faculty teaching is very good. They help in our exam preparation and try harder to explain well.
