Good teachers dedicated and qualified who value quality education
Lab facilities are good with modern equipments in good condition
Good surroundings near to all means of transport

Dislikes

Small area for sports and games compared to other colleges
Nearby hygiene is poor mosquito are found mostly

Admission:

I applied for GEC Thrissur but due to low rank in keam exam I didn't make it there. But this college is among the top colleges in Kerala for chemical Engineering. A good rank in Keam exam can get you a spot in GEC Kozhikode.

The seniors are very helpful. They are very friendly.
The college has a great vibe. It is very refreshing.
The faculties are very helpfu and the libraries have a vast collection of books.

Dislikes

The canteen food is average. Neither good nor bad.
We don't have a dedicated ground to organize sports events.
Since the construction for a new block is occuring, it is a little noisy

I didn't apply to any other colleges. Since this college was close to my house and this course was very good, I didn't gave any thought to any other course or colleges. This course and college is a hidden gem.

All about my collage

Likes

The collage campus is good . If they can increase some area to students activities.
The faculties are from top collages like iit and others collage . They all have phd in their core subjects and their also good and conceptual.
Our collage Have good placements in companies like L&T , tata industries , reliance industries and othe top companies.

Dislikes

Our college don’t have a football playground and other playground
We don’t have supportive management for sports and arts

Admission:

I had cleared entrance exam keam then I get the collage .I applied only few collages in allotment and the first opinion was this collage .I choosed this collage when compare to other government collage because of best faculty line up , collage campus , placement , and other factors which other collage don't have.

Life at geck

Likes

The campus atmosphere is very nice so that we can relax
The faculties are well trained and have very good subject knowledge
The labs are well equipped with modern technologies that can be used by students

Dislikes

The campus itself is small as compared to other collages
The collage itself doesn't have collage ground
The collage doesn't have a clean bathroom facility for boys

Admission:

I have applied for other collages bht didn't get because their cutoff washigh. For chemical engineering geck had high review. The admission process is through KEAM examination which is an entrance examination. The allotment process is carried out after the publication of ranklist and the cut off is announced.

Talking about positive things the thing that comes to my mind is the good friends that I made during these days it is very wonderful
The next thing is the facultys suport that I got and good sports facilities and different types of clubs that were good to me
Another one is the academic I come to know so much subjects like python life skill development profetional communication the helped in in life very much

Dislikes

There is no government boys hostel so the majority of the boys are living in pgstudents
The campus itself is so small as compared to other collages

Admission:

This collage had one of the highest rating for chemical engineering. The admission process for the collage is thorough KEAM exam which is an entrance exam for getting into collages in Kerala.The ranklist will be published and collages are allotted to students

A brief introduction of GECK

Likes

I really liked the infrastructure of the college as it has a big library and labs
The sports committee at my college is really good as they organise regular events and competitions.
There are regular fests at our college that give students a lot of opportunities.

Dislikes

This colloge has a small football ground so we have to adjust with all the players
The campus is a bit congested as the college has less area
The water coolers at our college sometimes doesn't work due to some malfunction

Admission:

I applied for a lot of top college in my state but I couldn't get in them due to my grades. I chose this college because this colleges really known for mechanical engineering and this college is also near to my hometown. After I got allotted in this college I came here with my parents for verification and admission process. The cut off rank for this college for mechanical engineering is around 18000. To get into this college we have to write an entrance exam called KEAM.

Life at Geck

Likes

The campus has a good atmosphere for studying and relaxing
The canteen us well equipped with good food
The library is aaccesible for everyone and is updated from time to time

Dislikes

The area of the campus is quite small as compared to other collages
The Bathroom facilities for boys is some what bad
There is no collage ground for sports activities

Admission:

The admission procedure to collages here are through KEAM which is an entrance exam for joining respective collages. After the ranklist is published we are alloted to respective collages of our choice. I had more options above GECK but due to the cut off I've been placed at GECK and it was a good thing because all the faculties have good subject knowledge and are super friendly.

Life at GEC KOZHIKODE

All the lab facilities are good and can be easily used by students
The teaching staff are all well qualified and has good subject knowledge
The campus environment is very good and have good canteen

The campus is small compared to other collages

Admission:

I chose this collage because in Kerala only less collages had chemical engineering as one of their main courses. As I did some enquiry Government engineering College Kozhikode had made one of the top 3 collages with chemical engineering. The admission procedure for getting into this collage is by an examination called KEAM which is a entrance exam for getting into collages in Kerala. Since the cut off for other collages where somewhat high I decided to join this collage.

my Life at Government Engineering College Kozhikode

I like the fact that my college despite being small compared to others government engineering colleges does not compromise in any aspects. We are ahead in every competitions and events
I really like the sports department in our college. They are really helpful and supportive and they regularly organise competitions
I really liked the laboratories in my college. They are really good and staff teachers are always available if any guidance is required

Dislikes

Our college is located between a town therefore the campus area is very small compared to other colleges.
My college has a very small football ground and cannot be used for organising a proper match
Our college infrastructure is really small and congested. The buildings are really close to eachother.

Admission:

I applied for many Government engineering colleges as a part of state councelling. I got admission in some of them like GEC Wayanad but i didn't take admission there as GECK was a better option. I also got rejected from some of the top colleges as my grades in entrance examination were not enough to get admission there. After i got allotment in this college i came here with my parents for verification and admission process. It was a tedious process as there were many other students but it went smoothly as senior students were actively helping us.

Fee is convenient to all and affordable
Good infrastructure is provided for students
Have educated teachers and other facilities

Dislikes

The campus is small compared to other colleges
Play ground is not there in gec kozhikode
The lift facility is currently under service

I chose this college because it is govt college and the fees is less compared to other college and have a good academics in mechanical engineering branch and the admission is through keam entrance examination score
