Government Engineering College Kozhikode Faculty

The Chemical Department consists of 3 associate professors, 8 assistant professors, and 2-3 guest lecturers, all of whom hold master's degrees, with PhDs becoming mandatory for permanent staff. The faculty is well-qualified with many holding doctorates from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs. Most faculty members have PhDs, while others possess MTech or BTech degrees. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:20, providing adequate attention to students. The age range of faculty is between 25 to 56 years, and they are highly experienced in both teaching and industry.

The department has a library, computer lab, electrical lab, electronics lab, and central hall, and offers campus selection, separate hostels for girls and boys, and a canteen. Faculty members are approachable, supportive, and dedicated to improving teaching quality, though some are less engaged with project promotion. The college follows the KTU 2024 curriculum, with exams conducted twice a year. Although some faculty are less effective, the majority are passionate and supportive, contributing to the institution's NBA accreditation.
