A brief introduction of GECK

Placement Experience:

The placements at college are pretty decent. I think the students become eligible for placement from 4th year onwards. The highest package from our college last year was around 10 lakhs per annum by a student from electronics and Communications department. Some of the top companies that visit our college for recruitment are TCS and L&T. The average package at our college is around 4 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students that get placed from our college is around 40% I also plan to get placed from college placement itself and I will try my level best for it.

Our college provides good placement. From Semester 7 students becomes eligible for campus placements. Recruiting companies are Larsen and toubro ,Infosys,TCS,Welspun Corp Ltd,Schneider Electric,Reliance Industries, UnoMinda Ltd etc The average package was 5 LPA and highest package was 7.5LPA on 2024.We got a total of 83 placement offer this year.Mechanical engineering department got 32 placement offer. A minimum of 40% student get placement every year.My plan after getting the degree is to get into L&T through college placement.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester onwards students can admit for campus placements The highest slary package was 12 LPA and average qas 4.5 LPA In our department 90% students get placement so in our whole college the percentage of students getting placement will be nearly 70-75% My plan is to take RRB exam after the digree and to join in indian railway as ALP(Assistant Loco Pilot)

An insight to GECK

Likes

Apart from their qualifications, they are technically also very sound and we can understand this from the experiences they share in the classes. Apart from that the faculties are also keen in making the students qualify for GATE and other placements.
Me myself was able to qualify for GATE in the 3rd year itself. Also I cleared it again in 4th year. I also got placed in a certain company. The students are also of good standard as they get admission here after the KEAM entrance exam.

Dislikes

Also the placements do not provide adequate salary packages. Mostly civil engineering companies hire employees with a low package. Also the time after Covid-19 breakout was of recession. Hence I think that also might be a problem.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester onwards. But if a company willing to take students from lower semesters come that will also be entertained. Many companies visited the campus and each company made one offer. To name a few are Schneider Electric, L&T, TCS, Cognizant, Walkaroo international, Zydex, SPVC, Telestation, Aarbee Structures, Nexta Technologies, VKC Pride, etc. Highest package offered was ?50,000/- per month and ?25,000/- per month average. Almost 30-40% students get placed each year and many students opt for higher studies. Me myself qualified GATE 2 times and hence planning to repeat to get a better rank.
