The vibe at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering is really lively and enjoyable. I had an awesome experience, especially with the beautiful campus surroundings. The college spreads over 33 acres and boasts impressive infrastructure.

When it comes to events and celebrations, every department hosts various activities frequently, offering plenty of chances to join in. They also have a big annual college fest, which is well-organized and draws a large crowd, especially for the DJ night.

Regarding academics, as someone who graduated from the college, I can say the teaching methods are pretty solid for students who are eager to learn.

How is Dayananda Sagar college of engineering?

GhostlyGiggles

I chose Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering for its reputation and the opportunities it offers in the Computer Science and Engineering course. The curriculum is quite relevant to current tech trends, and I can see that they are trying to keep up with industry demands, but the exam pressure can be a bit much.

The placements are good, with the highest package reaching 56 LPA, and I feel that with some effort, I can secure a decent job after graduation. Overall, the college has a vibrant campus life, and I've enjoyed being part of the various clubs and events.

Is Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering an excellent college to pursue engineering from?

LunarWhisperer

I think Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering is a solid choice for anyone looking to pursue engineering, especially in the Computer Science and Engineering stream. The course structure is relevant and designed to prepare us for real-world applications. The placement opportunities are quite good, with many companies visiting the campus.

However, I found the exams to be quite frequent, which can be stressful. The fees for COMEDK students are around 2.81 lakhs per year, which is substantial, but there are scholarships available for certain categories. Overall, if you're committed, this college can provide a good foundation for your career.

How has Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering DSCE changed since the incident involving Meghana Chandrashekar? Is ragging an issue?

WanderingWords

Before I dive into answering this, I find it interesting that you're an ex-Aloysius student and curious about this. Keep in mind that not everything shown on TV is accurate, especially on Kannada channels, as their main goal is high viewership for profit, often ignoring student privacy by not blurring faces. If you're thinking about joining DSCE, don't let this incident cloud your judgment. It's a solid college with strict rules in place.

Best,
Darshan MV

How do you rate DSCE in Bangalore?

ChromaticCipher

In my experience, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering has its pros and cons. The curriculum for B.E. in Computer Science is pretty good, but there are too many internal exams which can be overwhelming. The average package for placements is about 9 LPA, which is decent, but the real challenge is getting into core companies; many students end up in IT roles instead. The campus life is lively, with plenty of clubs and events, but I do wish the faculty could be more engaging. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're willing to put in the effort.

Can I get an ECE course in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering DSCE Bangalore with a rank of 30508?

RogueRebellion

I'm not so sure about that. Back when I was applying, you needed to have a rank below 6,000 to get into the ECE course. You might have better luck trying for other branches at Dayananda Sagar, but probably not at the main campus. There are also shift courses available, and those are considered just as good as the regular ones. So, if you manage to get into one of those, it's the same as being in the main branch. Hope that clears things up!
