AI-Generated Summary based on 390 Reviews

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering offers a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication Engineering through multiple admission pathways: COMEDK, KCET, and management quota. COMEDK, open to students across India, requires an entrance exam typically held in April, with applications starting in January. The cutoff for COMEDK ranges up to 15,000, while KCET, exclusively for Karnataka students, offers reservations and lower fees. KCET applicants benefit from reservation policies based on caste and face a competitive cutoff ranging up to around 8,000.

Management quota admissions bypass entrance exams but require strong academic performance in Class 12. The admission process involves counseling sessions for both COMEDK and KCET candidates, where fees may vary based on residency and reservation benefits. Fee structures for reserved categories and state domicile candidates tend to be lower than those for general category students. The completion of Class 12 is a mandatory eligibility criterion, with some programs permitting diploma holders for lateral entries.

The campus, located in Bangalore, offers a strategic advantage given its proximity to the IT hub and supports students with robust internship and placement opportunities. The overall challenges in the admission process are manageable, although lengthier counseling and documentation verifications are common. Additionally, fees are non-negotiable once paid during the counseling. The college stands as one of the top institutions, reflecting its reputation and placement success, making it a competitive yet accessible option for students aspiring to pursue engineering.

“I applied to a few other higher-ranking COMEDK colleges, but because of my low rank I did not get good CSE-based branches in those colleges. I also got ECE in JPN (Jain/JP Nagar college), but I was not interested in taking a non-CSE branch. So I finally chose DSCE as it was one of the better options available for my rank. The admission process at DSCE was simple and based on the COMEDK counseling procedure. After selecting the college and branch through the portal, the document verification and fee payment were done at the college. The overall process was smooth without

I don't think there is any need to mention that anyone will opt IIT's and NIT's instead of private colleges but yes I will tals about the admission process here. For non-karnataka student, an entrance examination named COMEDK is conducted every year for taking admission in engineering colleges of Bengaluru. For Karnataka student , KCET (Karnataka common entrance test) is conduceted. Eligibility:- min 50% in 10th and 12th cutoffs vary every year, mostly on the basis of marks ranks are calculated and on the basis of that in the counselling process we do the choice filling. In the final round we will get the college and stream as per our preference. Be careful sometimes they also conduct a bonus round in counselling process if the seats don't get filled in the initial round of counselling.

DSCE Bangalore: 2 Answered Questions

Can I get an ECE course in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering DSCE Bangalore with a rank of 30508?

RogueRebellion

I'm not so sure about that. Back when I was applying, you needed to have a rank below 6,000 to get into the ECE course. You might have better luck trying for other branches at Dayananda Sagar, but probably not at the main campus. There are also shift courses available, and those are considered just as good as the regular ones. So, if you manage to get into one of those, it's the same as being in the main branch. Hope that clears things up!

Will I get admitted to Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, CSE branch with a 10,200 rank in COMEDK?

Snigdha GoswamiBachelor of Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore (2020)

With a rank above 10000, it is difficult to get the CSE or ISE branch at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. According to the recent cutoff trends for DSCE, the required cutoff for CSE was 3905.

However, with your rank, you can make it to other branches like ECE, EEE, TE, etc. The college provides the option of internal transfer from one branch to another, so you can change your branch after following the procedure of the college to the branch of your choice if you want to.
