Sad Reality Of Hotel Management In India

Being a student of hotel management where we are studying the concepts of cooking I loved the efforts of our teachers and staffs to help each and every student properly without leaving any doubt behind.
Got provided internship in a 5 star hotel in Delhi which was Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport
Campus placements are provided here for everyone before the last semester exam.

Dislikes

Mess food was not good or healthy the mess keepers used the students to peel the potatoes and onions for them in a very large quantity. And everyone is supposed to get only a limited amount of food served like one person can get only 2 parantha
Besides saying that this is a ragging free college, teachers scheduled a proper day for ragging by seniors and they themselves enjoy it standing at the back. Last but not the least you are not allowed to bring outside food in hostel.
Our hostel felt more like a boarding school of punishment than a college hostel.We had our exam tomorrow we want to study at big but we are getting forced to switch off the lights and use mobile flashlights to study.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students start getting placement the highest package got was 300000/ annum Companies like Haldiram, Barbecue Nation visited for placement also making us go far away from our native place to work at low wages.

IHM DEHRADUN

Likes

The campus is really fabulous, which provides the view of mountains
The faculty is well experience and supportive
All the facilities like computer lab, sports, yoga and many more are also available

Dislikes

The timings of the college starts from 9am to 5pm
A lots of assignments and journals could give dipression to a person
The fees Structure is quite expensive, and the hectic schedule

Placement Experience:

The only campus placement is available in my college. If we talk in the 2nd year we go for a 4 months training which which knows as Industrial Training (IT) and we got stipend during that period of time. In the 3rd year the companies like TAJ, OBEROI, HYATT, came for the placement, and mostly every person got the Job.

Faculty are very good they have very knowldege and the staff is also good
The management of the college and all the seniors are very good
The clg provide lunch for all the peoples and journal for children

I choosed this course because i want be a hoetlier and the ciriculum is very good but written work is very much in mid term exam - exam are of 20 marks and the end term is 100 marks and the timing of the exam are 3 hour and pratical timings are 4 hours

Remarks:

This college alloted to me in NCHM counseling. All the dates and process is given in nchm website. Dehradun is good place and also pleasent weather as compared to delhi. If you're delhite then you can love living there

My Bachelors in Hospitality from IHM!

Remarks:

Studying at IHM is one of the best decisions. They have really nice accommodations and infrastructure plus the hotel management course is a professional course which is affordable for the students too.
