My course was science during high school but during pandemic I grew a keen interest in economics as I observed the opportunities in this course are vast. we are learning the theory part of the course but in higher studies, we'll learn the real-world applications too like data analysis, forecasting, hypothesis testing of economic activities etc.

Though my course is known to be of high value. It has a better placement opportunities as compared to other courses. But some of the subjects like fit India, are of no use. We were not taught anything. Instead, we used to sit ideally in the ground. But we were asked to make the practical files of more than 20 pages. It was really hectic. This new education policy has put a burden on the students. Moreover we were being taught about swatch Bharat abhiyan, but the no. of paper water in making files were much more than that of our core papers. How is it swatch Bharat with this amount of wastage of resources?
I chose Economics Hons for the sole reason that it is the most sought after course in University of Delhi and also has greater scope after graduation. I also consulted my seniors for choosing the course. Taking guidance from seniors proves a lot helpful. All the professors and teachers at the college are well qualified and are chosen after vigorous selection processes. The teachers are really supporting and are excellent teachers in terms of imparting knowledge. There is an average of 1 professor for a class of 60 students. Also, ther are tutorial periods too where the entire class is divided into a number of groups and we can have our doubts cleared properly in that time. There are semester exams conducted twice a year along with two internal assesments in the form of either assignment or class test, generally of 25 marks. Also, there are marks for attendance too, maximum marks is 5 if you have 85% attendance.
Economics honours are considered one of the top courses of Delhi University. It is a 3 year or 6 semesters course. The faculty here, at Ip college, consists of top notch professors who completed their education from universities like JNU and Delhi school of economics. The exams are held twice a year i.e in May and December
The faculty is not upto the mark. We are not provided any practical exposure. However, the course is updated in almost every 5 years.
I had chosen this course because of its world-wide scope and also due to my interest in Economic related issues. The faculty of economics in my college is very experienced. As my college is women college, so the ratio of students in my college is 1:0. The exams are easy to pass because of the teacher's amazing way of teaching. Overall, the education system in my college is very good.
So I have done economics hons from the college. The course curriculum is pretty good and very well designed. The faculties are so educated and so helpful at the same time. The faculty themselves have completed their graduation from such great universities.
The faculty is amazing very focused towards studies the curriculum is upto date. Every type of book is available in the library. The teachers also help the students a lot in studies. Excellent academics and faculty
The course structure is very well stated and its very vast and deep too. It makes me understand the course from each perspective. The main part of my course are micro-economics , macroeconomics , statistics , economatrics , Indian economy and development , economic state and society, development the and experience and etc.
