Wildlife Institute of India M.Sc. Admission 2024

Wildlife Institute of India offers a two-year Master’s course in Wildlife Science, Heritage Conservation and Management and Freshwater Ecology and Conservation. Candidates applying must have a minimum of 15 years of formal education (either 10+2+3 or 11+2+2). For admission, a candidate will have to sit for a NET exam conducted by WII Dehradun. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Personality and Aptitude Test (PAT) or Interview. For the final selection, 50% weightage is given to both NET and PAT.

NET will be for 2 hours duration and consist of 100 marks question paper. For foreign candidates, the final merit list will be based on 50% marks in the Graduation degree and 50% marks obtained in the interview (Maximum marks - 100) which will be conducted by Skype or other online means.

  • Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree from Universities outside India should obtain certificates of equivalence from the Secretary-General, Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • The minimum qualifying mark to become eligible to appear for the written examination is 50 per cent in aggregate at the field of the study mentioned in the eligibility section for general category and OBC candidates (both Indian and foreign nationals) and 45 per cent in aggregate for SC/ST candidates.

Wildlife Institute of India offers a three-month Certificate course in Wildlife Management. State Forest Departments or Foreign Governments/ Agency must send nominations of eligible candidates. Admission will be based on a first come first serve basis. Wildlife Institute of India Application Process 2024

Wildlife Institute of India grants admission to 2-year PG courses, 10-month PG Diploma and short-term certificate programmes. Applicants of the M.Sc. course need to follow the below-mentioned steps to apply online for the course.

Indian Candidates:

  • Visit the official website of WII.
  • Fill out the registration form available on the website.
  • After successful online registration, Candidates have to fill out an application form and pay the fee of INR 1,500.
  • In the application form candidates have to upload a recent passport-size photograph, scanned copies of their school certificate/ valid passport as age proof, Graduation mark sheets and degree (Previous/Final year), and caste certificate (applicable for candidates seeking reservation quota).
