When it comes to placements and internships our college provides fairly good opportunities if compared to other colleges. In today's competitive world, it is very difficult for a graduate to find a good job, but our college campus witnesses good companies .
Job opportunities and internships are reasonable and the companies which come in college campus are known and the job roles that are offered to us are pretty decent. The exposure that we get when these companies participate in placement process.
The college has one placement cell placed in mathematics department. I don't hear the news of any selection, even my college do not organize any placement derive because this is not a technical college, Hindu College is famous for basic science and preparation for different exams like UPSC, SSC, JAM, NET e.t.c. many students of my college clear NET every year. Placement cell organize some workshops, but very few students attended it. Overall college is not good for placement because this is not a technical college.
My college has one placement cell in mathematics department, and math faculty Rajiv sir is the head of this cell. But this cell is useless, they organize some webinars only. I heardly see any local company in my college for recruiting. Our college students are preparing for government programs like SSC, Banking, UPSC, and it is because my college has only traditional subjects, college has not any technical subject. But our teachers help students for getting admission in heigher universities like IIT, JNU, BHU, and help for preparing exams like JAM, TIFR, Zest e.t.c.
The college has not organized any placement derive, and usually, it works as a degree distributor. Besides this, our college Alumni take government jobs and take admissions in reputed colleges like IITs, NITs, BARC. Each year 20 students have got selected for different reputed colleges. A lot of companies and NGOs come for internship via internship cell of college. I have seen stipends up to 5000/- to 15000/-. For placements, Economics people have a good chance. However in most of the cases and departments.I don't find the environment much placement oriented. Most of the students aim for higher studies and competitive exams. I feel this is the scenario because most of the courses are humanities oriented.
Something that wasn't as such much satisfactory in my college was its on campus placements as it was much limited not as much companies made a visit to recruit students and many of my mates searched for jobs on their own but however placements after completing of graduation from here stands a good value so the students get good jobs opportunities. However I chose to do my post graduate and not job after my graduation.
