The world class sports facilities and infrastructure are a huge benefit for all people who have a love for sport, the coaches are experienced and ready to teach anyone who is willing to go and learn.
The live projects and capstone projects, Somaiya having such a huge ecosystem of its own, enables them to offer great opportunities in these places as well to the students.
The varied clubs and committees provide a ground for students to exercise and develop their leadership and team building skills.

Internships Opportunities:

They get various companies onboard that come to campus with diverse roles, with something for everyone. The placement cell halos students find their best fit companies and roles, so as to find more clarity and even experience in the selected fields.

KJ SIM review

Likes

emphasis on sports is given. Compulsory sports credit subject is there. Every sport is there including squash and TT and trails happens for this courses to join the team.
committees and clubs are also there for students to join..this leads to overall growth along with academics
intership opportunities are plenty for students of 1st year of MBA

Dislikes

gender ratio is not good in any of the class
hostels are not at par with the fees they take.

Internships Opportunities:

A lot of companies come here with roles aligning to interset of every students. They have selection criteria based on specialization of the students so the internship serves fruitful for the students and helps them during the final placements

Such a great college Kj is

Likes

The campus was. Overall very good it is huge compared to other colleges
There are many facilities in the college
Sports gym swimming pool the college is decent

Dislikes

Need to walk much in campus and it is tiring
In mumbai rains there is much problem in college inside the campus travelling
That’s all overall the college campus does not have any other peoblem decent food

Internships Opportunities:

I have done my internship in primewise consulting as. A role in their strategy and consulting team there are many more companies coming in college but we can choose one apart from it outsourcing i have done two more internship one is in tata power and one is in pidilite

Likes

I liked the campus of the college. It's lush green and very big.
I liked the clubs and committees of the college.
I loved the faculties teaching in our college.

Dislikes

The fees of this college is very high. It could be lowered.
The rooms are not Air Conditioned even after taking such high fees.
The food could be improved. We pay 6000 per month and the food is very bland.

Internships Opportunities:

Decent number of companies come toncampus for recruitment. Many industry leaders come to the campus for roles in Marketing, finance, HR, etc. the average stipend goes about 10 to 12k, which is a decnt stipend.

We believe in Somaiya

Likes

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great and mostly has all the facilities like sports grounds, buildings, lush green campus etc
Faculty: All the faculties are top notch, they are all mostly PhDs and have experience in teaching
Campus life: There are events happening throughout the year

Dislikes

Hostel: Small hostels, meals very repetative, mosquitoes
Admission interview process: took too long waiting for interview
Strict: College is very strict regarding the in-time and rules, some of which are very irrelevant for MBA students

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities are decent and the entire batch gets placed for internships and also, there are capstone opportunities for students looking to work in different industries. There are other presentations and assignments for continous evaluation

It was smooth flow of process and the results came so fast
The campus life here is good and also I have made some really good friends here.
The teachers are good and they are familiar with their subjects.

Dislikes

Space for studies are less according too the batch size of 660 students approx.
They are very strict about the 75 percent of attendance, you cant miss more than 5 lectures of a subject
The summer placements didnt go well as per the final placement due to markket conditions

Internships Opportunities:

Internship process was a bit tough this year because of the market condition and many of us were tensed if we will get placement or not. But at the end we got it and as have inclined towards finance I got a placement over there I got placement and advisory firm and hence it will help me to gain knowledge and it is equity research internship through which I'm very excited to learn more. Summer internship may very as per the institute and the market condition but final internships are going pretty well.

Campus Life at K J Somaiya is too good for an MBA life
Events are being given a good weightage.
Guest Lectures were regularly conducted and they do make an impact.

Dislikes

Hostel water facility and the living space, specifically for the boys.
Few of the faculties are not even interested in what students are learning
Discrimination with boys, with respect to Hostel facility, in terms of facilities and living space.

Internships Opportunities:

There were a lot of internship Opportunities from Big MNCs based on different types of specialisations. Companies involves Cisco, Big4s, Marsh, Gartner, etc. good wide range of opportunities to explore. It was a good experience.

It is done fromt eh 3rd month as soon as college starts. here are also companies that offer you good stipend and there are named companies which give you the best experience and teaching even though they don't pay you.

Everyone says K J Somaiya is better than TAPMI in all terms. Still, TAPMI is ahead of K J in rankings by almost every magazine or site. Why?

TAPMI is considered to be much better than K J Somaiya. I can say this because my brother has completed his education from TAPMI and I have some friends who have studied in K J Somaiya.

TAPMI has been AACSB accredited for the past few years now. It's not that simple for colleges to attain and maintain that accreditation. TAPMI is ahead in rankings because it deserves to be ranked above K J Somaiya.
K J Somaiya provides courses for a lesser amount of money as compared to TAPMI and this is one of the major reasons why people tend to get confused between TAPMI and K J Somaiya.
Both K J Somaiya and TAPMI are considered to be Tier 2 colleges in India. TAPMI has been able to make students good leaders.
The only advantage that K J Somaiya has over TAPMI is the location. K J Somaiya is situated In Mumbai which can be of great benefit for many students.
TAPMI has helped over 400 students to get placed every year. The average package offered by companies to students of TAPMI comes around to be INR 10.6 Lakhs per annum. Some top recruiters of TAPMI include Deloitte, Microsoft, and Salesforce.
The campus and infrastructure of TAPMI are also a lot better than K J Somaiya.

Hence, TAPMI is better than K J Somaiya and deserves a better ranking in magazines and websites.
