MITS School of Biotechnology was established in the year 2003 with due recognition from Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.

It offers courses in B.Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc Biotechnology, and Applied Microbiology. It also runs a course in BCA. All the courses of MSB are duly recognized by Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to Utkal University.

Admission to both UG and PG courses is strictly on merit basis by career marking followed by selection on the basis of candidates’ performance in Personal Interview.
Candidates may even apply for direct admission at the college level without appearing in any entrance examination.
Those applying for BCA must have passed their class 12th examination/diploma in any stream; B.Sc Biotechnology requires 12th Pass with PCM/CBZ combination and minimum 40% marks in aggregate.
PG admissions in case of M.Sc Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology shall be permissible to candidates who have obtained their bachelor’s degree in a relevant or concerned subject.
The applications are usually invited in the month of March and applicants may apply in offline or online mode.
An application processing fee of INR 300 shall have to be paid via online payment gateway of Demand Draft for each course.
Candidates may even book their seats in college from March onwards by paying INR 10,000 via online/offline mode.

MSB Bhubaneswar UG Admissions 2024

MITS School of Biotechnology offers admissions in three-year degree courses of BCA and B.Sc Biotechnology. The admissions are conducted on the basis of merit as per marks secured in class 12th examination or equivalent. The final selection shall be affected on the basis of candidate’s performance in personal interview.

The academic eligibility for each course shall be as given below:

Direct admissions under management quota are also offered with an exemption from appearing in any entrance exam.

MSB Bhubaneswar PG Admissions 2024

For students interested in pursuing Post Graduation, the college offers admissions to courses in M.Sc in Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology. The selection process shall remain the same based on merit as per marks secured in bachelor’s degree in the concerned or relevant subject.

The final selection of candidates is done on the basis of Personal Interview. The specific eligibility criteria for each course is explained below in the table:

MSB Bhubaneswar Application Process 2024

Applicants can apply to MITS School of Biotechnology in two modes -

Option 1: Apply online, fill up application form and pay INR 300 via DD or cash in MSB office.
Option 2: Download the application form, fill up and submit along with application fee of Rs.300/- through DD.
Candidates opting for Option 1 shall be required to submit copies of their certificate and other supporting documents as instructed by the institution.
Those opting for Option 2 need to make a DD issued in favour of “MITS School of Biotechnology” payable at Bhubaneswar. The DD along with the filled in application form and necessary documents should be sent to:

Bhubaneswar - 751024, Odisha, India
Candidates need to mention their Name and Address on the reverse of the Demand Draft.
Also, photocopies of the DD and the application form should be retained every candidate for future reference.

MITS Bhubaneswar Scholarship

MTS Bhubaneswar provides a scholarship to its meritorious students.

For programs after 10+2

20% Scholarship	80% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education/Fine Arts/Performing Arts/Vocational/non written subjects) in CBSE/ISC or any state Board of class XII.
10% Scholarship	70% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education/Fine Arts/Performing Arts/Vocational/non written subjects) in CBSE/ISC or any state Board of class XII.

For programs after graduation

20% Scholarship	80% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education/Fine Arts/Performing Arts/Vocational/non written subjects) in CBSE/ISC or any state Board of class XII and 75% in Graduation.
10% Scholarship	70% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education/Fine Arts/Performing Arts/Vocational/non written subjects) in CBSE/ISC or any state Board of class XII and 65% in Graduation.

Continuation of Scholarship

The scholarship is granted on annual basis and continuation in second and further years of the program is subject to scholarship policy. To continue availing 20% scholarship, the student must secure position in top 5% of the merit list for the program. For continuation of 10% scholarship, the student will have to secure position in top 10% of the merit list for the program. The student should not have any backlog in the university examination and should have minimum 85% academic attendance.

Reality of my college.

Admission:

I applied for Trident and SOA but I joined this college because it's near my home and because of course fee. I was selected in other college like Trident it is also the distance from my home but the course fee was little high. I was rejected from SOA because they asked for OJEE exam but I hadn't applied for OJEE exam. The eligibility for admission is more than 55% in 12th and the stream should be science.
