An inside view to SMVIT

Likes

Beautiful buildings because there is the simplicity that should be described and design keeping this in mind that it is college building and lots of greenery is there so people and me even like it.
Got very good friend which also made us learn that how rich diversity our country has
Good teachers because they support us very well for our academic and also help us and motivate us to explore new things and excel in our life

Dislikes

My college is in very isolated area which is very far from city so that's a negative point
There is lack of safety and security because main gate of our college is on national highway
They pressurize us for attendance so we are not able to focus except on skill development and are only busy with assignment,major,minor, external,internals.

Admission:

As we thought this college will have good infrastructure because this is a college which have established way back in 1986 . Good course structure and supportive staff I though this college will provide but after coming back we realised that this college don't give us the right to explore as they try us to only follow the curriculum.

college infrastructure is about 133 acres very huge ,there is huge ground , batminton court , gym area, auditorium , basketball court
faculty is freindly, supporting and teaching is average
since campus is huge we can socialize with many people

some teacher are not so good in their subject but some teacher are good
this college is far from bangalore city but near to airport . all transport facility are available

i choose this college because my rank was 8721 in 2023 comed-k exam . i wanted cse so in this rank range best cse college i found was SMVIT bangalore. i applied for Amrita bangalore and have got seat for cse. but when compared to bagalore campus is not so good in term of placement and hostel comedk and kcet and management are mode of admission

Flexing my college!

Likes

I loved the way the campus life is. Because there's just nature completely surrounded and it's really a pleasure to study in such a prestigious college is what I feel. The faculty members are really good and the staff are supportive.

Dislikes

The quality of the hardware labs especially in core branches has to be improved is what I feel, otherwise the college is too good to go! You'll never regret joining here. Also letting you know that some teachers might be targetive towards you .

I chose this college because I feel this is the best top college ever seen and I had also a decent ranking which suits me to get into the college so. While the placements aren't good or below par in many other colleges, our college is different- it really does have good placements every now and then. I couldn't make it to other college because I had no other college on my mind than this college. The admission process was quiet linear, I got through by kcet exam. I applied to almost every college located in bangalore and in rounds i got seacet and rrce but I didn't opt them due to the college and course point of view. I felt Sirmvit is the best in all parameters to be considered . The eligibility is that you gotta have a decent ranking to get into or have a reservation quota or something .

The college is very huge where it is of 135 acers of campus which is very large and has a huge cricket fields
Boys hostel is far from girls hostel which is one of the great thing by the management
The college has a library of 6cr worth which will be inugrated in 2025

The college is located outside the city and is located exterior
The college has not yet opened the library which is very much required

Sir MVIT - A decent college with great potential to improve.

Likes

Campus size is vast, doesn't feel cramped or suffocated like few other colleges.
Plentiful greenery around the whole campus, which provides a pleasant atmosphere.
Location is outskirts of city making it a different environment.

Dislikes

Infrastructure can be improved a lot considering the amount of fees they take.
Curriculum of vtu is outdated and more of theoretical content.
Evaluation of external exams since it's a non autonomous college - can be unfair or too strict sometimes

I had applied through KCET exam and with my rank of around 10000 this college was in match with my rank. Other colleges which I had applied to included msrit, dsce, bmsit, bmsce, rv, etc. I couldn't make it through to these colleges as their cut offs we're higher and i needed a higher rank for my course of choice. Although I would have got selected for a different course like eee, ete, etc. in these above colleges, I gave preference to my course. Admission process was smooth as it was through KCET counselling, once we pay the fees directly through bank account, i just had to visit the college once for the admission process and also pay some extra fees there. KCET would be a better option than comedk or management quota as the fees will be lower.

The life of me and my college

Likes

I think that my college is much of greenary and it's near to air force so its beautiful,there the 30 clubs in are college with tech club to improve students skills,there are nss ,yoga n sports activities,there are fest in every year known as kalanjal
All my faculties are linient and helping nature most of them are PhD holders,my infrastructure of campus gives a vibe of old college,there are 2 libraries avail for students,there are tech n improvement feat in every each month by there respectivpart

Dislikes

My college don't have boundaries,no main gate no protection or security and college campuses are too much old thy need to renovate it I feel,there are limitations of computer in the lab,and the equipment, there are sobmsky wild animals in and around

I didn't choose this college as..I didn't had any openings so I joined at the here..as ibhave prepared for jee mains..I didn't attend kcet exam,so took management quota ,no cut-off required,the mode of admission in this college is very easy

The college is around 133 acres less green campus which is best thing, it also have ganesha temple too.
The college infrastructure is old but still beautiful and the new library is awesome built past one year back
The college fest are legendary their are so many clubs which conducts events and fest every month.

Dislikes

The college placement are becoming worse year by year,the placement was less than 50% for cse branch and overall it was just 40%.
The college mechanical faculty is not good they show so much of attitude and they are very rude
The college is strict in terms of attendance exams and the management is not good.

I liked the college infrastructure, mostly new library which is more beautiful to see and college has lush green campus of 133 acres
The faculty is good and very supportive not any academic problems but they help in personal problem too.
The fest and clubs in college is one of my favourite parts,their are so many clubs in college which celebrates numerous number of legendary fests

Dislikes

The college placement is not so good, as the real placement percentage is less than 50%
The teacher are strict in terms of exams, attendance,and discipline
The mechanical faculty of college is worse,they have so much of attitude

Likes

The college is greenish,and its around 133 acres making one of the best environment to study located at Bangalore. The college has a little bit old infrastructure but they are good Apart from this they have new big modern library
The college faculty is good and they help students in all aspects expect some teachers
The clubs activities are superb in this college containing around 25 clubs where u can enhance your skill

Dislikes

The mechanical department faculties are like hell.i recommend don't do mechanical engineering in this college.the faculties are more strict than any other school or college
The placements are not as shown in their website.the placement rate is around 50%
The college are very strict in terms of attendance,exams and still its not autonomous affiliated to vtu

I choosed this college based on my rank. The reason I choosed this college is because this college was better in my rank range around 30k comparing to other colleges this college is very old and the college has long time of experience However im happy with my college
