Simple Brief Of SMIT

Likes

Surrounding of the college and atmosphere
College faculty specially the TG's that provides bye the college
College fests it boosts up student's moral

Dislikes

Some teachers.. they just read the slides.. no personal communication
The lab of the college stills they are using old fashioned technology
Faculty of the college some faculty members are very rude

The upcoming jod opportunities in Fintech sector... I'm Little bit confident about my course Subject selection some subject feels useless Frequency and timings is very bad... It feels hectic for keep up with this...

Overall View of my College

Likes

Great weather and nature scenaries covered around hills.
Nice if u want to enjoy nature and go for trekking and hiking.
Girls to boys ratio is one of the best. It is like 3 boys to 1 girls.

Dislikes

Some faculty are good and some are straight up bad.
Examination are hard and competitive for an engineering College.
Different culture and different food but u can adjust.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 6th semester to go for placement and internship. The average package for CSE is 5.5 LPA. Microsoft , Dell , TCS , Infosys etc do visit the campus. The highest is 50 LPA. Almost 90 percent placement rate.

SMIT a good option Option for collage If searching something near Northeast India.

Collage is Situated in a very beautifl location . its very peaceful and very beautiful , Teachers are Quite nice and are helping us with our studies out of their designates time .
Not in a good or bad way campus of more of a more traditional style of providing noted like note books and copies use of smart board is comparetively less .

Dislikes

Some of the HOD's are not soo friendly . Pressure is more than other collages becz there are more tests conducted and within short duration unlike other collages .
Hostel food and wifi is not worth paying 85K .. but 1st years are not given a option to opt out for that option but most of the seniors generally opt out of MES because it is not worth the money and is Expansive also .
Fro 2nd year many prefer to have their food self prepared or outside the Collage Gate where it is cheaper with good food .

Placement Experience:

The overall placement rate was around 90% the highest offered to passout student was INR 35 LPA furthermore The SMIT Average package stood at inr 6 LPA . We have Training and placement cell at sikkim manipal institute of technology to facilitate placement oppurtunities.

All you need to know about SMIT

Likes

Teachers here, give so much preference to every student
Campus is nice and labs are fully ac which makes it nice to work
Extra curricular activities and facilities are provided to students like gym, swimming,sauna, basketball and many more

Dislikes

To be very honest I don't dislike anything at all

Placement Experience:

From 5 semester students will be able to apply for campus placements. I'm the freshers just joined this college but heard a lot of good things about this college, I have my brother who studied from here and he got an offer letter with very good package.

I like the campus first of all there are a lot of facilities provided, personal computers are there in the labs the classrooms are quite big, water is there washrooms are neat and the teachers there are very kind and friendly, A lot of creative works
Are done. The students are also so nice and there are a lot of good facilities, The library is quite big 300-400 students can fit there and the books are also available we will be given a library card to each student and we need to just stick picture
And putting this aside the education system they have is very interesting, there concept is very nice compared to others all the functions are celebrated nicely, the campus is clean and green sometimes it’s hot but fan and ac facilities are also ther

Placement Experience:

After 3 years we will be given a honours degree but if we study for 4 years we will be given honours research degree and after that we will be given placements but if we want to study further more then here itself in the college we can continue as this college provides a lot of facilities

Things I like basically environment They got Marina where many sports facilities are there like gymming, basketball, badminton The weather is quite good to and the faculty are very nice The infrastructure is quite big too

Dislikes

Things I dislike about this college is. Firstly I think the class system they got unusual timing class like if you have 9 AM class then after 1,2 hours gaping They got another class and it goes for 4-5 Yeah Daa PM so sometimes it gets quite hectic

So I am a second year student and I have heard from my senior that the college have provide a very nice placement and I have seen too So I Can hope incampus placement I dont think any college provide placement for bba but our college do

SMIT, great campus.

Likes

My campus was awesome, surrounded with mountains, river and trees. I improvement i thought which could have saved the time of student was the introduction of e rickshaw inside the campus for coming out of the campus area.
I completely enjoyed studying in SMIT. I also scored good because i was happy there. The environment is the first factor which makes student feel so fresh. Every student here has the equal opportunity to get placed for the job.
My faculties were very professional and talented. Infrastructure of the campus is very satisfying and the hostels are too good. SMIT helped me a lot through grooming myself.

Dislikes

Nothing is there to dislike about SMIT. My campus stands out in every aspects.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good through SMIT. The last semester deals with the placements processes. Our campus has placed the student in company like "Google". Almost 70? of the students gets the placements. I have visited 2 big companies during my placement process.

Life of SMITians!

Likes

The overall studies and the faculties are good.
The learning environment is good enough.
Other facilities like sports and overall development is also good.

Dislikes

The fees is so expensive. It is not affordable for middle class people.
The campus is situated in a place that is too hot.
Few things are lacking like a good coordination between teachers.

The course curriculum is is relevant, but few subjects are like out of our course. The curriculum id set to prepare us for rea-world applications. To improve few irrelevant subjects should be removed.

Student Life At Smit

Likes

Playground for various sports football volleyball circket and also a futsal ground .It Also Offers Indoor Table tennis room,GYM,Snooker,Chees And Carrom Area.
Library is great clean and chilled place to study in peace
Many Cafes To Spend Your Time With Friends.

Dislikes

Classes are hectic 9-1classes and 2-4labs
Quiz and assignments every time makes you exhausted

Course Curriculum Overview:

The first year offers students have a taste of all the engineering courses as in first year Electrical ,Civil,Cs,Mechanical are taught as subjects. The timing of exams is just one month after joining the classes difficult ranges from easy-medium

The placement in my college is good as far as I know . In a year 98% of people get placement through college . Companies such as Amazon, google, Microsoft, Mercedes Benz, byjus and so on had visited .
