NIAMT HELPS STUDENTS GAIN REAL WORK EXPERIENCE

FULLY WELL EQUIPED LABS OF THE RESPECTIVE DEPARMENTS WHICH WAS A GOOD THING FOR EVERY BRANCH STUDENT .
THEY ARE STILL LOOKING TO ENHANCE THE LABS AND OVERALL CAMPUS.

OTHER THING WHICH I PERSONALLY DISLIKE IS THAT THERE IS CANTEEN IN OUR COLLEGE BUT IT DOESN'T OPEN SINCE I HAVE CAME HERE .

Admission:

WHEN I WAS APPLYING FOR COLLEGES , I HAD CHOOSEN NIAMT RANCHI,BIT MESRA , NIT PATNA, AND PW IOI . MY MAIN GOAL WAS TO GET INTO A GOOD GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE WHERE I COULD GET GOOD EDUCATION AT AN AFFORDABLE COST. I GOT OFFERS FROM OTHER PRIVATE INSTITUTE ALSO ,BUT THERE FEES WAS EXTREMELY HIGH , SO I DECIDED NOT TO TAKE ADMISSION THERE . I DIDN'T WANT TO PUT THE BIG FINANCIAL PRESSURE ON MY FAMILY. I CHOOSE NIAMT RANCHI BECAUSE IT IS A GOVERNMENT COLLEGE WITH A GOOD NAME AND REPUTATION . THE CAMPUS WAS PEACEFUL, THE TEACHERS ARE EXPERIENCED , AND THE STUDENTS GET TO LEARN BOTH THEORY AND PRACTICAL THINGS. I ALSO LIKED THAT THE COLLEGE FOCUSES ON SKILLS AND TECHNICAL TRAINING , WHICH WILL HELP ME IN MY CAREER LATER. I COULD NOT GET INTO SOME HIGHER NITs BECAUSE OF THE CUTOFFS, BUT I WAS HAPPY TO GET NIAMT. IT FELT LIKE THE RIGHT PALCE FOR ME BECAUSE IT GIVES BOTH QUALITY EDUCATION AND REASONABLE FEE. THE ADMISSION PROCESS WAS THROUGH JEE MAINS AND JOSAA/CSAB COUNSELLING . EVERYTHING WAS DONE ONLINE FROM CHOOSING COLLEGE TO DOCUMENT VERIFICATION . WHEN I GOT THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM NIAMT, I FELT REALLLY GOOD AND LITTLE PROUD . IT WAS A GREAT MOMENT FOR ME BECAUSE I HAD FINALLY GOT ADMISSION IN A NATIONAL LEVEL GOVERNMENT COLLEGE WHERE I CAN BUILD A FUTURE.

The underrated government college

Likes

Low student intake makes this college less chaotic
Fees is quite low as comapred to other engineering colleges
The tag of central government college which makes its degree having some value

Dislikes

Non proactive management, they do things very slowly
Campus is very small woth half of the area coming under residential
Only two branches make this college quite underrated and lesser known.

Admission:

Due to good placement in core sector and tag of central government i preffered this college over many other private colleges. I only get rejection is colleges through JOSCAA councelling which was above ranked than my college with high cutoff. Admission process is simple, just reach the campus with Admission or seat allotment letter with all require documents and they will hand over you confirmation along with hostel allotmeoj the same day.

The Underrated NIAMT

Likes

Student intake: it is very low so there's no rush or competition in placement drive
Placements: although it is a tier 3 college still placement in core branch is impressive.
Results: Results on competitive exams wre quite impressive like many top rankers in GATE and CAT are from this college

Dislikes

Campus area: The whole on paper area is 68 acres but half of it comes under residential so not allowed for students.
Curriculum: They are still teaching outdated syllabus.
Management: Seems to be very lazy and dependent.

I applied for DTU, Jadhavpur University and MS Ramaiah institute of technology but in above 2 college I didn't get admission due to low rank while fees of MS college was too high and unaffordable. Admission process was quite simple, they first checked the allotment letter from Councelling then after that they verified the documents and confirmed the admission along with hostel allotment.

A journey of learning at NIAMT

Likes

Learning facilities and infrastructure of our college is good .
Mentorship session from iit professor are conducted regularly.
Many fests are held and I enjoy my college life.

Dislikes

Boys to girls ratio is not good in my branch .
Professors give many assignment to students.
College have many rules regulations for boys.

Admission:

For choosing this college:- First reason is my jee rank and second one is this college have a good placement in mechanical engineering department. Here, stricts rules and regulations are made against ragging.

First year student hostel room is very awsome.
Campus is fully of nature and always be neet and clean.

Dislikes

The ratio of boys and girls is very low.
There is lots of restriction you didn't allow to walk around girls hostel and you have to be in hostel upto 7pm

Admission:

I didn't have any choice because my rankis not good . I got these college only in my rank and any other reason is it is national institute and one of the asiast famous college. Admission in college through josaa counselling and you have to clear the jee mains.

" UNDERATED COLLEGE " NIAMT

Likes

Peaceful Vibe, Greenery and Good decorum of the campus
Placements and Interships are Excellent 100% Specially in core branches
Perfect College to crack GATE and other exams

Dislikes

Lacks Sports Complex, garden, canteen(exist but not working)
although NIAMT has good auditorium but small (200 seats only ) and students are 800+
Has only 4 B.Tech Branches ( CSE, ME ,MME, PIE )

Admission:

I applied for NIT JSR , NIT Patna, BIT Mesra, IIIT Ranchi, some GFTIs and Obviously NIAMT Ranchi in JOSAA. I prefered NIAMT over other GFTIs becuase of its palcements, also i was unable to find any major negative point about this college. Admission to NIAMT is from JOSAA and CSAB based on your All India Rank in JEE Mains as of 2024 closing rank in JOSAA last round for CSE is 50,906 and for CSAB last round is 91,147 Overall Admission process of NIAMT is very smooth, it takes hardly 2 hours.

Likes

Campus is very beautiful. It is full of greenery.
Seniors are very helpful. They will help in notes making and a lot of things.
Campus is completely ragging free. There is no ragging in campus or outside campus.

Dislikes

Campus is not so big. It is just 65 acres in area.
There is no coding culture in this college.
There are no microphones in the college. So professors are a little bit audible.

I chose this college due to my interest in core branches. I have a lot of research interest in core branches. This is one of the best colleges for Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. Placement of this college is also very good.

Campus is so beautiful. It is completely filled with greenery.
Seniors are very much supportive. They will help juniors in every situation.
Placements of this college are very good.

Campus is very small. Is has only an area of 65 acres.
There is no coding culture in this college.
Sex ratio of this college is so bad. Only a small number of girls study in this college.

Admission:

I have so much interest in core branches. And this college is purely a core branch college. Metallurgy and Materials engineering branch of this college is best. Also the placements of this college is outstanding.

The College campus is so beautiful. It is full of greenery. Completely lush green campus.
This College is completely a core branch college. So Metallurgy branch of this College is best one.
Percentage and average package of placement is very good.

Dislikes

The campus of this College is so small. It has only 65 acres of area.
There is no coding culture in thethis college.
There is only one sports ground in this College. So seniors doesn't allow freshers to play.

The best thing I like about my college is it's natural beauty. It is surrounded by nature all around
The faculties of our college are quite helpful
The college is quite old and the course curriculum is very good

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so good it's old type

Admission:

This was the college I got the confirmation letter. I got selected for this from CSAB round -2 JEE mains examination. The admission in this college is only based on JEE marks. No other lateral entry is allowed.
