MSIT Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Campus placement is offered in this college many companies come but they take few students only 3,4 maximum. I'm still in starting of 4th year so can't tell everything but yeas companies are coming stude students are filling form and exams are going on for placements

I choose IT because I am interest in coding but my 1 st preference was cse branch but my rank was not sufficient for that. Faculty of my college was good and college too so I am confidence about this college .

The placement provided by our college is average as they highest package is 32lpa last year and the lowest was nearly 2-3lpa. The average package is 4-5 lakhs per annum. This college doesn't provide any intership. Nearly 70% students get their placement in their final year. Various companies that visit are Cognizant, TCS, wipro, infosys, amazon.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

The civil department is glorious. The quality of lab and faculty is excellent. The CSE , IT and ECE department students are lucky as they can score so good with minimal effort unlike civil and mechanical students. Caution money must be refunded as promised but that actually never happened in their history. Afterall 20k is a large sum of money. The college should have it's own playing ground. Overall it's good.

The MSIT is famous for its ECE branch as every year the highest package gets out from ECE department and our ECE department also get the Best Excellence award 2023 in west bengal. Lets suppose a teacher is teaching Graph theory then the teacher gives the real life approach why and where should we implement that which makes the concept picture clear and the teachers also involve students to find out some unique things of the topic . The improvement required is in the BSH department of MSIT .

This course helps us to learn a lot about computer science and engineering. We experienced a lot of problem-solving which will surely help us in the job field. I love knowing about software that inspired me to choose this course.

Placement and all its in your hands College will just guide uu and help along with your abilities The teachers will help u and guidee u Justt u have to be skilled enough to compete in thiss world full of engineers

From the 6th sem the students are pulled for on campus exams and placement. Many companies visit our college last year Amazon took some and offered them 36LPA and Deloitte offered 21 . Highest package goes around 30-40LPA and the average goes around 5-7LPA . 97% placement offers.

I have taken ECE because of it's different career opportunities that I can opt in the near future. MSIT is under the university MAKAUT which is a pretty average institution when it comes to reputation. We have two semesters and four CA's in a year but they don't even think before they announce the dates. I think they should publish a proper curriculum where the year is pre planned so that it can be executed properly.
