A DETAILED REVIEW ON INDORE INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Likes

I liked the faculty here..the faculty is very supportive here as well as they motivate students
There is more discipline here as compared to other colleges in My state (Madhya Pradesh)
The infrastructure and support from college is so good and appreciative even there is no ragging here so freshers can roam safely

Dislikes

The college campus is good but small as compared to others so it may be disappointing for some students
There are no internship here we have to get internship from ourself also there is no guarantee that college will allow you to do internship
There are lesser events here also in sports they are less active I mean only some students go to different tournament but rest of he students are unable to do so

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester the students become eligible for the Placements There is no problem in the placement here the top tier companies come here for placement and the placement cell here is so good and supportive. The problem here is only for internships the college support less for internships. Highest package here last year was 42 LPA Avg package here is nearly 6-7 LPA QUIET GOOD

Likes

The SIG groups that is Skill improvement groups that focuses on the development of the industrial level skills in an individual
lab facilites are top notch equipped with the latest technologies and i7 processors.
the library features variety of book including all the departments it has more than 8000 books.

Dislikes

Lack of beverage and food packets in the college canteen.
There are lots of rules and regulation that does not abid by the students welfares'
the 75% attendance criterion rule is very strict

The placement of our college are as follows:- highest packag-24 lpa average package - 3 lpa median package - 4-5 lpas and took arrou last year over 134+ companies visited our campus and arround 60-70% got placed. students are added into various groups for interships from the third year to make sure they have all the facilities and support.

Honest review of Indore institue of science and technology

Likes

The teaching environment of IIST is excellent. Our respected DG sir has organized several opportunities for the students like SIG, internal hackathons etc.
Seminars of different leaders and entrepreneurs are also conducted occasionally.
Overall the way of teaching has a practical approach rather than theory.

Dislikes

The social life and campus interactions are good but i feel the events that are conducted like dazzle could have a little more improvement.

Placement Experience:

The placement cells handles all the placement related operations in college. From starting you are taught placement oriented skills like aptitude, communication etc. Several companies like TCS visits aur campus for mass recruitment. Our college lets us sit in as many interviews as we want and crack the best package. And if we don't get a job through the campus or we are not satisfied with the on campus placement, the placement cell helps us in off-campus placements too

Overall nice college

Likes

Attendance must be more than 75 percent and it is mandatory
Faculties are very supportive if we need any guidance related to studies
College overall environment is good and it has equipped with lavish green ground and many sports facilities

Dislikes

There are no such events happening for the fun which is very disappointing
There is so much strictness from faculty side
Students don't come in college with proper attire and don't maintain decorum

Placement Experience:

Talking about the internships, there are internships provided by the college which are paid internships in which we can earn the stipend on the basis of our work and knowledge and placements for companies like Infosys, Lupin, TCS etc comes for recruitment. Highest package is of 43 lpa and average for 4.5 lpa

I personally like the efforts of faculty to teach students. DG sir is very inspiring and has a bold personality. overall environment is good for study as college has minimal events.
The library is huge and contains most of the helpful books. students can request for new or any book they want in library for their development.
fees structured is very nominal as it is merit based and it ensures discounts for the brilliant minds.

Dislikes

Bus facility- sometimes students have to stand in bus because of lack of seats available
the time-period of re-issuing of book is less (21 days only). students have to carry books for the re-issue purpose.
Internet doesnt work properly in most of the areas of college

Placement Experience:

The average package is around4.7-5.4 lacs per annum. the highest package offer in college placement was around 12-15 lacs per annum. off campus placement went upto 40 lacs per annum. College allows students from fourth year or third year for internships and students in Fourth year are allowed for college placements. recently TCS visited the college and recruited around 30 students.

Faculties are great, they are always very helpful whenever you want them for your help.
College is very serious in terms of attendence and MSTs which is a good thing i guess.
There are no such things available for making chaos over political and religion stuff, all are equal

Dislikes

There should be more buses for students because sometimes you will not get seat in the buses and you have to travel like you are travelling in local bus standing
Book return time span should be increased from 21 to atleast a month.
There are no such events happening in the college, just study study and study

Placement Experience:

From 5th and 6th sem, you will be eligible for internships where you can sit and from 7th sem, there will be many placement drive ran by the college in which companies like tcs, hitachi, infotech, acenture etc come for the placement. This year total 36 students were placed in basic, gold and platinum package from tcs.

Likes

The environment of the college is quite good.
Campus always looks neat and clean. There is no wrappers on the road.
There is many facilities, like if you need any help there is always available facilities

Dislikes

There is always fights are going on in the campus.

Placement Experience:

College offers placement and also provide internship opportunities. There will be many companies who come up with the requirements and took interview, technical round, coding test, HR round. These are the basic way of doing placements.

Rather than other colleges IIST provide a dedicated skill improvement classes called SIG for every branches like For CSE branch in 1st year have c/c++ SIG and respectively for all branches

Dislikes

The disappointed thing was that it was affiliated to RGPV Bhopal RGPv copy checking is very poor

College followed the RGPV Curriculum 1st year has common subjects to all branches the curriculum was good and subjects was decent in 1st year the the paper pattern was tough in RGPv Bhopal it was a government University
