Govt college of engineering for mechanical engineering

Likes

College is good for core branches.Good placements for the core branches.
Various opportunities are provided.Good guidance by professors.

Dislikes

Very less facility in campus. No variety in canteen actually initially there was no canteen provided.
Not so good for tech branches.Practical labs are not so good and maintained. Less equipments are provided.

Placement Experience:

In starting of 8th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Core branches campus placement in 90% or more than that. Mostly 100 percent students are placed from core branches. Seimens,TCS ,LNT, CROMPTON, ADANI and more big companies Offer good packages to students. Highest package for 2024 was 1500000 from off campus and in campus it was 800000 Average package is 500000 I would like to have campus placement or rather do MTECH

Campus is big and good. All departments have separate buliding
Fees structure. Fees is little bit less as compared to private colleges

Dislikes

Placement is less. Average package is also not that good

Placement Experience:

Placement is not that good this year. From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placement. 10,15 companies visited to the campus. Average package is 500000. Percentage of students gate placed is 40%

Good campus good environment and good placement
Teacher are helpful. They are very good they tell us how to prepare for placement

Placement Experience:

Placement is very good and natural very beautiful very good looking Placement is very large almost 30 acres and have cricket groud sports room gym etc Average package is 4lpa almost 80% students got placement from our branch Highest package offers is 8 lpa

Government college of engineering aurangabad insights

Likes

Course fee is very less since it is a government college
Campus is pretty big and gives feel of a university, also our college is autonomous so examinations are very transparent to the students

Dislikes

Not all teachers are supporting, since it is a autonomous institute all the power is in professor's hands
Most of the staff is very unqualified for the job of teaching but some are very good and have PHDs

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are pretty average is our college the highest package for previous year was 15LPA and most of the students were around 5-7 LPA range. This above statistics is of campus placement. Off campus data is not available in college. Percentage of placement is 70-90% depending on the branch. Entc is the most placed branch in geca, following CS, IT, electrical and then mechanical and civil

hostel are inside the campus so the security is good
campus has various clubs which help to develop technical and hardware skills

Dislikes

They should increase the internet speed of wifi
boys hostel capacity should be increased.

Internships Opportunities:

regarding intership the intership are mostly reasearch base and availble beacuse of faculty contach in various state and national level institutes and stipend rang form 10000 to 20000

GECA is the best.

Likes

This college's campus is very big and good ,you will get so many opportunities to explore your self. You can carry on your hobbies in sports,technical or arts or anything. There are so many platforms to grow yourself.

Dislikes

Overall campus is really good. I think there's nothing to dislike. Campus is quite strict but for our benefits only.

Internships Opportunities:

Mostly for students, internships Will be unpaid.after the completion of first year ,you can do the internship. Internship will be for 1 month. Depending on holiday. You cannot do it in working days of college. Faculties will suggests you for the companies. Or you can search by yourself also .

With the stste-of-art facilities diverse extracurricular activities, supportive faculty. faculties
The faculty's unwavering support plays a pivotal role in student's academic success and personal development.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is bit old. The infrastructure should be improved.
The library service should improve as they give very few books at a time.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for placements.About 50 percent students are placed.Companies like TCS,Seimens,LnT,Tata technologies,CG and many more visit the campus.The average package is of 5LPA.

college is autonomous, so college itself decides the curriculum and exams so it is quite easy to clear semesters compared to university exams.
College environment is really good, campus has lot of greenery and gardens. you can spend all your day in college campus.

Dislikes

lack of teaching staff, so most of important subjects are taught by inexperienced hourly basis teachers
teaching staff as well as non teaching staff including guards are really rude. they won't listen to you.

Internships Opportunities:

local companies offer the intership and inplant training in college some of them have stipend which is around 8-10k and for others it's just inplant training so you havr to do it for free but it's worth cause you get real life knowlwdge of the industry.

Campus area and its environment is best suited to me.
Faculties and Staff are very kind and are experienced in their fields.

Dislikes

Campus should be big in size as compared to other college
The grounds for sports are not big enough.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Various companies visits our college including TCS, Wipro, Nvidia etc. Highest packages are offered by nvidia and tcs digital around 10-15 lakhs . Average package is around 6-8 lakhs. Nearly 90% students get placed every year and remaining opt for gate and various exams. My plan is to pursue mtech and then opt for any job.
