MHT CET Counselling is currently ongoing for the vacant seats to offer BE/BTech Admission 2024. Candidates can register and upload all the required documents till October 23 (1 PM). The document verification and confirmation of the application forms will be done by October 23, 3 PM. All candidates can check the detailed schedule on the official website @fe2024.mahacet.org

Government College of Engineering - [GECA] MHT CET cutoff 2024 has been released. For BTech course, the MHT CET cutoff for Round 1 is 88.56-97.4 for the GOPENS category students.

State CET Cell, Maharashtra has released the Institute Wise Current Vacancy Position for all candidates seeking admission to the BE/BTech Lateral courses. Meanwhile, the last date for the NON-CAP Registrations has also been extended till October 23, 2024. Interested candidates can check the official website for further details @cetcell.mahacet.org.

Whether to choose Government College of Engineering or not?

Likes

Campus is cozy, though it is not big, it's beautiful.
Senior and junior interactions totally depends on every one, but people are nice.

Dislikes

Placements are not great, it is the area where college should get more improvements.
Events should be more organized, it is good, but can improve.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Just like any other college curriculum, the curriculum do have some great topics and all, but the technologies that are being taught in curriculum is kind of outdated. There should be addition of more and new technologies.

fees is very less every one can study here because of less fees
college environment is very good with beautiful campus

Dislikes

very far from main city aurangabad approx 40 km
water problem is the one of the problem during summer

our college followed the curriculusum which followed by every recosgnised university of india such as iit and nit but this curriculum are very old we need to make improvemnt in this curriculum and make more practical

As far as the concern is related to mechanical engineering the topic are really relevant and are really interesting. Even the curriculum is interesting that revolves around these topics. The teaching method are quite old but still bare able.

Campus and Good teaching Faculty And there is very butiful campus life
Good Connectivity , the collage is situated between middle of the city so it in very good for students

Dislikes

The collage area is quite slum area.
Collage has not it's cricket ground or ground facilities..

The only motive to choose the scores is the placement of this college is very good in CS department and it also The Government College of engineering Aurangabad is autonomous college has the curriculum was designed in very well manner and advance and it will update again and again within the spam of 2 to 3 years

Govt college of engineering for mechanical engineering

Likes

College is good for core branches.Good placements for the core branches.
Various opportunities are provided.Good guidance by professors.

Dislikes

Very less facility in campus. No variety in canteen actually initially there was no canteen provided.
Not so good for tech branches.Practical labs are not so good and maintained. Less equipments are provided.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose mechanical engineering because I developed interest in graphic design and other skills. This college is good for core branches because for core branches facility here is more than others. But some machinery things can be developed and modern tech should be used. Also teachers should focus on core things. Mostly there are 2 unit tests and 1 end semester exam in each sem . Exam are based on what is taught in lectures.

Campus is big and good. All departments have separate buliding
Fees structure. Fees is little bit less as compared to private colleges

Dislikes

Placement is less. Average package is also not that good

Course curriculum have the subject which helps you in your placement preparation. The course subjects are also helpful in real world. The exams are not that much difficult. 2class test and 1 end sem exam happens in each sem.

Likes

Course fee is very less since it is a government college
Campus is pretty big and gives feel of a university, also our college is autonomous so examinations are very transparent to the students

Dislikes

Not all teachers are supporting, since it is a autonomous institute all the power is in professor's hands
Most of the staff is very unqualified for the job of teaching but some are very good and have PHDs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I have opted for is Electronics and Telecommunication since I want to go for higher education in semiconductor chips and quantum computing. Our curriculum follow NEP which is the new education policy, and is very good curriculum that gives a broad vision and knowledge about multiple subjects apart from core engineering and broadens your interests and skills simultaneously. But as I said the teachers are not well adapted for teaching that syllabus. Some teachers are really brilliant though which is the only reason I took interest on this college.

This college's campus is very big and good ,you will get so many opportunities to explore your self. You can carry on your hobbies in sports,technical or arts or anything. There are so many platforms to grow yourself.

Dislikes

Overall campus is really good. I think there's nothing to dislike. Campus is quite strict but for our benefits only.

The course curriculum is good and having all the topics related to the course. I think syllabus should het change and they should include some advanced and trending topics like e vehicles etc. Course includes all the practical knowledge also.
