GECA Faculty

The college has a strong faculty profile, with a majority of the professors holding PhDs and extensive teaching experience, primarily between 15 to 20 years. The faculty consists largely of alumni from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs. However, the number of permanent faculty members is insufficient, leading to reliance on visiting faculty for some subjects. Despite this, the faculty is noted for being interactive, supportive, and involved in both academic and extracurricular activities.

Regular lectures are conducted with a focus on both theoretical and practical aspects. The faculty-student ratio varies, with classrooms having up to 70 students per teacher and practicals having a ratio of 30:1. While most faculty members are committed and knowledgeable, some are perceived as less engaged, and the pace of teaching is described as slow initially, accelerating near exams. Overall, the faculty provides a friendly and helpful environment, although there is room for improvement in consistency and modernizing teaching methods.
