So, If you are willing to have a memorable college life with least money spend and to get degree from a reputed Gov't College then buddy, come to BIT. Best thing that you'll get here is time, Actually we've plenty of time here for any exam preparation like UPSC CSE, GATE, IES, CAT, etc. It is so because we don't have much classes and too much vacations and this is the reason that most of the BITIANS crack these exams every year with flying colors.

Positive remark of my college is that it's infrastructure and faculty are quite good. Library is just like book store. No place to sit and read in library. Nothing is fascinable outside hostel. No competitive as well as friends-like environment. It's due to big campus with less students.

Ragging, events and many more activities. College was good overall good but students need not to think about they are in some iits college. There is also continuously hard work has to perform and for success gate is compulsory.

You will an engineering at a very low cost. But you will also get to see how a government institute works. The ragging which is still persisting in this college. The old infrastructure which is yet to repaired in the last 40 years. The only field and a basketball that are not quite well maintained so as to encourage students to atleast play some outdoor games.

The positive thing here is the environment of studies and infrastructure. We have the great and well knowledged faculties who guides us every where. This college is best in return and investment. Its fee is very less. negative part is that it legs in placement for many branches but if you opted good branches here, congrats you have a great future ahead.

The placements should be improved as it is the only state government college in Jharkhand. There should be a college owned Gym. The infrastructure needs a lot of improvement. Placement have gone down in the past few years.

College is continuously increasing its quality in every aspect. The infrastructure is continuously being developed. Ragging has been almost eliminated and in some years it will be fully finished. Although being a government college the development is a little bit slow but then also college is getting in good conditions.

From what I’ve heard from my friend who is currently a student of BIT Sindri, there is ample time for students to prepare for exams like UPSC, GATE, etc.
- The area of the campus is about 400 acres. BIT Sindri is a good engineering college and is located in the town of Sindri which is 25km from the city of Dhanbad.
- BIT Sindri has a total of 26 hostels for boys and girls. The different departments of the college are allotted their own buildings for their classes and activities.
- There is an auditorium on the campus. There have been some reports of ragging, though, in the first and second years.
- The best departments in the institute by far are mining and metal because of good placements.
- Lately, a number of good companies are visiting the campus so the statistics of placements are improving by the day. The average CTC has been recorded to be 4.51 LPA while the highest salary is 10.12 LPA.
The institute also holds an enviable rank amongst other engineering institutes of Jharkhand.
