BIT Durg Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

After the 6th term, students appeared for college placements. TCS and Infosys were the major recruiters, and many other companies like, Adani, Ultratech, Musigma etc came for placements. Major IT firms and some core technical firms offered entry-level positions. The highest package was 14 LPA at my time and the average stood around 4.5 LPA

From the 5th semester students are eligible to appear for campus placements where they are offered good packages from various companies according to their grades and overall performance in the past years. Students having the desired calibre for getting the designation are given upper hands. Personally, I have no such fixed plans after my graduation. I might try for corporate jobs or pursue further education or try in the defence sector.

It is the number one college in Chhattisgarh after nits and IITs. The result of students in technical exams like gate was very good. And various practical machines are available. It has area of around 29 acres and provides degree in 8 different specialisation including higer master degree. The facilities include gym,sports club,boys hostel,girls hostel and playground for outdoor sports, cafeteria , astrology club, nukkhad natak and many more amenities and facilities. The way of teaching and practical skills are quite good.

From the 3rd year onwards you are eligible for the campus placement program. Percentage criteria for placements are more than 70 or 75 percent is required and rests depend upon the companies requirements. The average package is 7 to 8 lakhs per annum.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There were many companies of high class and low class, and 4 to 5 offers made. The high-class companies were giving the highest package as 12lac per annum and 3.5 lac per annum as average. Around 60 to 70% of students got placed in the campus placements. I planned to do the civil service.

The placement of the college is good enough. Students become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. Companies like Wipro, byjus, HCL, Adani, axis bank, etc come for the offers, The average package is 3.5 lakh per annum, The highest package is 12 lakh per annum, Near about 50-60% of student get placement while some opt for M.tech.

Placements here is average. Approx 30 to 40% of students get placed every year. Maximum no. of students prepare for competitive exams like Gate etc. The average package here is 2 to 3 lac which for tech students. Core students prepare for Gate.

Final year students are eligible for campus placement. The campus placement is good in our college many companies are coming like Amazon, Wipro, LG If no campus placement then you can join Amcat which benefits for employability in the company or you can do MTech, Mca or Gate and then go to different PSUs and m.tech in IITs or nits. The highest package is 12 lakhs per annum. The lowest package is 4.3 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed is 50-70 %. For my plans, I have decided to appear in gate exam electrical engineering after my degree and then go to PSU or MTech in well recognized college.

From 7 th semester students become eligible for the placement. You can apply outside also during your semester exam for job .company visited in a bit are Panasonic, vipro ,TCS. The highest package is about 8-10 lakh per annum and average package is 4-5 lakh per annum and the lowest is 1-2 lakh. About 30 % of the total students will get placed. My plans are not yet decided but I think I will do mtech after btech let's see how much Mark's I get in the gate exam otherwise I go with cat exam for mba

In our college, a mainly tech-related company such as TCS, Tech Mahindra, Byju and ICICI Bank comes for placement. The job they give are mostly sales-type so very fewer people joined for the campus placement. Mainly in our college student prepare for the competitive exam such as gate, cat and gre. Some of them also prepare for technical programs such as SSS JE and JRF.
