A brief about MBA in BIT, Durg

No prior information about the companies that are gonna visit college for placements, so you don't get the opportunities to target your personal favourite company and you can't prepare for any company in advance.
No internship opportunities provided by the college during the course, you have to find it by yourself. No preparation for group discussions and interviews as such by the college for placements, you have to do it by your own.

Placement Experience:

So the college placement is pretty impressive. After 2nd semester or from the starting of 3rd semester the companies start to visit the campus. From reputed organizations to banks, to all other companies visit the campus. Every company has different criteria for students to get selected but mostly the companies criteria list consists of no backlogs, about 70% in 10th,12th and graduation year and some written exams and GD & PI. In my batch if I'll talk about banks Axis,HDFC, IndusInd Bank, IDFC irst bank, ICICI prudential etc had visited. Other companies like Career mantra, Fundroom, corizo, intellipat, academor, home first finance, stratview research,bajaj Allianz, ESAF small finance,haleon, solarsquare, bhanzu, Shriram finance,berger paints, Rinex, dhanguard, jaro education, Nipon, TTEC , Gradguru , vrize, planet spark, etc had visited. The companies which were in Chhattisgarh were offering 3-4lpa and other which were outside the Chhattisgarh were offering 7-8 lpa, banks were offering 4-5lpa in Chhattisgarh. The ROI was good according to the fee structure of the college but the packages were not so impressive with the designation so only 25% of the students from my batch were placed.

A Better One

Placement Experience:

We can do internships after 1st year and 2nd but for the placement it's in 4th year. The training and placement cell of the college has work consistently to bring reputated companies like a TCS Wipro Infosys LNT Infotech etc. the medium package for uses students is like 4 lakh per annum and PG students was about 4 to 5 lakh per annum. However when compared with some of the top tile institutions the package levels and placement percentage highlight the student themselves me to bridge through internship of campus drive and additional certifications. Another noticeable trend is that placements 10 to be more favourable for the branches like computer science and information technology where are School branches of an face lower absorption rates which is common in many engineering colleges. But here off campus placement are really good

Placement opportunities needs to be improved a lot.

Placement Experience:

To be honest placement scenario is not really good. One becomes eligible for placement in the final year. Companies like cognizant used to visit the college for mass recruitment but after covid even they are not visiting. But few startups visit every year. The highest package this year was 12 lpa ctc. And avg 6 lpa. Only 30 percent get placement. My plan is to do M TECH.

College campus placement are provided, companies start visiting the college after 3 year only - companies like tcs , cognizant technology solutions, rdc concrete, vi, L&T, shriram finance, mahindra Etc etc visit the list is very long - highest package being 6 lakh per annum Lowest being 2.5lakh 70% students get placed here but many do not accept the placement and go for going GATE , UPSC, CGPSC etc I got placed in rdc concrete but will pursue MBA so i am planning to appear in CAT exam

35-38 students among 40 alwasy gets a placement in bhilai Institute of Technology durg but it is fully based on how your academic are Batter the cgpa higher the package you get and higher the cgpa easier to get a placement

There are placements at good amount. Students are also go for GATE. Placements plays a major role after you complete 4 years of your crucial life. Yes placements are there but decent packages only few student get 9+ Lpa which decent for any private college.

Both Manipal Institute of Technology and Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg are excellent engineering colleges with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Here is why you should consider joining BIT Durga instead of MIT Manipal.

Fees: MIT Manipal BTech fees are INR 18.62 Lakhs while BTech first-year fees of Bhilai Institute of Technology are just INR 81,862.
Location : BIT is situated in a very small city Durg. However, there aren't any connectivity issues as the railway station is quite near. You only need a bike to roam the entire city
Education : Very few qualified professors can be found here as the institute is very old.
Placements: One of my friends told me about the placement scenario at BIT Durga. The highest CTC stood at INR 20 LPA while the average CTC stood at INR 4.5 LPA.

The only major flaw the institute has is that despite being a 28-year-old institute it's affiliated to a 7-year-old university which affects the quality of education.

In all, if you dont want to spend much then BIT Durga is the right option for you.
