Remarks

Pre-engineering test followed by online counseling. Counseling started 10 days after scores of tests were released. Counseling and seat allotment wad based on merit scores, student choices for program and institutes, and category Subsequent rounds depend on vacant seats in the program & institute-wise I was offered a seat in the first round only.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Electrical engineering as it was a core branch and my interest in electrical technologies There were around 12-15 faculty in the Electrical department, most of them were PhD Term or semester exams were fixed one at summers and the other at winter semesters Exams were conducted by the CSVTU University

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Placement Experience

After the 6th term, students appeared for college placements. TCS and Infosys were the major recruiters, and many other companies like, Adani, Ultratech, Musigma etc came for placements. Major IT firms and some core technical firms offered entry-level positions. The highest package was 14 LPA at my time and the average stood around 4.5 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees were really justified with the offering and cost were less as compared to other private colleges in other states Fees were fixed by the State Technical education board Scholarship for poor and meritorious students was available

Campus Life

Campus Life of BIT Durg is really cool and values were followed for a long. Ojas is the annual fest which happened in February every year There were some student-run clubs and groups based on interests but were not centralized at my time

BIT DURG a 3.5/5 college

Placement Experience:

To be honest placement scenario is not really good. One becomes eligible for placement in the final year. Companies like cognizant used to visit the college for mass recruitment but after covid even they are not visiting. But few startups visit every year. The highest package this year was 12 lpa ctc. And avg 6 lpa. Only 30 percent get placement. My plan is to do M TECH.

From 7th semester we can sit in interviews but the companies are far too less, like in last year only 6 companies came to campus at all, with an average package of ?3,00,000 and about 15 students got placed from Entire BTech, like 15 out of 500 students that too for sales roles

It's a great college for engineering as well as commercial

Remarks:

As I've mentioned above the management is worse but the teaching system is good. The director is a piece of shit a bald cunt. He did not even know what he was doing. He was a non cooperative asshole. All he did was snoooe around in classes and intimidated teachers. All in one it is a good college to tak admission in.

Honest Review of BIT Durg by a student

This is a reputed college in Chhattisgarh, and maybe that's why I chose this college. One can get into it by giving either JEE Mains or CGPET. Cut-off for JEE Mains isn't really high here, 75 percentile can easily land you here with computer science branch. I don't really know much about the JEE Mains cut-off.
