BMSIT BE ECE FAQs
Ques. What is the difference between KCET, COMEDK, and Management quota seats at BMSIT for ECE, and which is more competitive?
Ans. KCET seats are reserved for Karnataka domicile students and are regulated by the government, making them the most affordable (around Rs. 1.3 lakh per year). These seats are highly competitive and require a good KCET rank. COMEDK seats (40% of total intake) are open to PAN India students and are filled based on COMEDK UGET scores; fees are around Rs. 3.5 lakh per year. Management quota seats are filled directly by the BMS Educational Trust and have the highest fees (Rs. 5 lakh per year for ECE in 2026-27). For ECE specifically, KCET cutoffs at BMSIT tend to be moderate compared to CSE, making it relatively more accessible for Karnataka students with decent ranks.
