BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSIT), Bangalore, offers a 4-year full-time Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and approved by AICTE. The department was established in 2003-04 with an AICTE-approved intake of 60 seats. The programme covers power systems, electrical machines, power electronics, control systems, and home and industrial automation. Management quota fees are Rs. 2,00,000 per year. The EEE programme is NBA reaccredited (2022-2025) and is popular among students interested in core electrical engineering, power sector, and EV/renewable energy careers.

Admissions for the 2026-27 batch are currently in progress. KCET 2026 was conducted on April 23-24, 2026, and results are expected in May 2026. COMEDK UGET 2026 is scheduled for May 9, 2026. Management quota admissions are open through the BMS Educational Trust office.

Hostel Fees (Optional - not mandatory)

• Management quota fees are payable via Demand Draft in favour of BMS Educational Trust, payable at Bengaluru, drawn from the parent's account only.
• VTU miscellaneous fees and college charges are subject to revision each year.
• Hostel accommodation is optional and subject to availability.
• Security deposit included in accommodation charges is refundable at the time of vacating the hostel, subject to no dues.

Note: KCET government quota tuition fees are regulated by the Karnataka government and are significantly lower. The management quota fee of Rs. 2,00,000 per year is as per the 2026-27 BMS Educational Trust fee structure.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 / 2nd PUC or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology, or Electronics.
• Minimum 45% aggregate marks in optional subjects (40% for SC/ST candidates) for KCET quota; minimum 60% for management quota as per BMSIT norms.
• Valid score in KCET / COMEDK UGET / JEE Main is required for admission.

Admission Process

• Appear in KCET or COMEDK UGET and obtain a valid rank/score.
• Register on the KEA portal for government quota counselling based on KCET rank.
• For COMEDK quota, register on the COMEDK portal and participate in counselling.
• For management quota, visit the BMS Educational Trust office at Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, with required documents and Demand Draft.
• Document verification and seat allotment as per KEA / COMEDK counselling schedule.
• Pay fees and complete admission formalities at the college.

• Scholarship applications must be submitted through the respective portals (NSP, State Scholarship Portal) within the deadlines announced each academic year, typically between July and October.
• Students must not be availing any other scholarship simultaneously for most government scholarships.
• The internal BMSIT fee waiver for the top CET-ranked student is awarded at the time of admission.
