Admission to medical colleges is primarily through the NEET exam, with rankings at both all-India and state levels. The entrance exam, under MCI guidelines, typically occurs between April and May, and covers botany, zoology, physics, and chemistry. Approximately 2,000 to 4,000 students secure seats out of the many who appear. Student strength is 175, with a minimum of 20 teaching staff per department covering MBBS, BDS, and nursing courses.
