Q1. Is there any management quota or direct admission available for MS Anatomy at HIMSR?
Ans. No. HIMSR does not have any management quota, Delhi state quota, or direct/offline admission for MD/MS programmes. All 49 PG seats (including MS Anatomy) are filled exclusively through MCC All India Quota (AIQ) NEET PG counselling via mcc.nic.in.
Q2. What is the total fee for MS Anatomy at HIMSR?
Ans. The total fee for the 3-year MS programme in Anatomy is Rs. 34,35,000 (tuition fee of Rs. 31,50,000 for 3 years plus one-time charges of Rs. 2,85,000). This is among the most affordable MS programmes at HIMSR. All admitted students also receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 80,000 (total Rs. 28,80,000 over 3 years).
Q3. What career options are available after MS Anatomy from HIMSR?
Ans. MS Anatomy graduates primarily pursue academic careers as faculty in medical colleges, where there is a consistent demand for qualified anatomy teachers. They can also work in research institutions, forensic medicine, surgical anatomy, and clinical anatomy. The NMC mandates qualified anatomy faculty in all medical colleges, ensuring steady employment opportunities.
Q4. Is MS Anatomy a good choice for candidates who want to pursue a career in surgery?
Ans. MS Anatomy provides an excellent foundation in surgical anatomy, which is highly valued by surgeons. However, it is primarily an academic/research degree. Candidates who wish to pursue clinical surgery should opt for MS General Surgery or other surgical specialties. MS Anatomy is best suited for those interested in teaching, research, or a combination of academic and clinical work.
Q5. How many seats are available for MS Anatomy at HIMSR?
Ans. There are 3 seats for MS Anatomy at HIMSR. Out of the total 49 MD/MS seats, 21 are for General/Open category, 21 are for Muslim Minority (by birth), and 7 are for NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign/PIO/OCI candidates.
Q6. What documents are required at the time of reporting to HIMSR after seat allotment?
Ans. Candidates must carry original documents including MBBS degree/provisional certificate, mark sheets of all MBBS professional exams, internship completion certificate, NEET PG admit card and scorecard, MCC allotment letter, category certificate (if applicable), minority affidavit (for Muslim Minority category), gap affidavit (if applicable), and a Demand Draft for the fee amount. Prior appointment via email (admission@himsr.co.in) is mandatory before reporting.
