HIMSR MD General Medicine Fees

MD General Medicine at HIMSR is a premium clinical PG programme. The annual tuition fee is Rs. 25,00,000, and the total course fee for 3 years (including one-time charges) amounts to Rs. 80,35,000. The first-year payment at the time of admission is Rs. 30,35,000, which includes tuition fee and all one-time charges. A refundable security deposit of Rs. 3,00,000 (clinical) is included in the one-time charges. Hostel charges are additional and not included in the course fee.

  • The Security Deposit of Rs. 2,00,000 deposited with MCC at the time of counselling will NOT be adjusted in HIMSR fees; it will be refunded by MCC separately.

  • Annual tuition fee is payable on or before July 31 of each academic year.
  • A fine of 1% per month (maximum 3 months) is levied for late payment.
  • No fee concession or scholarship is available for MD/MS students as per HIMSR's official fee rules.
  • PG residents receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 80,000 for all 3 years, partially offsetting the course fee.
  • A discontinuation bond is applicable: if a student leaves the course at any stage, the full remaining course fee must be paid.
  • Fee may be revised as per NMC, DGHS, MoHFW, and Government of India directives.

HIMSR MD General Medicine Admission 2026

Admission to MD (General Medicine) at HIMSR is entirely through the MCC Deemed University PG counselling process. Since HIMSR is a Deemed University, 100% of seats are under the All India Quota managed by MCC. Candidates must qualify NEET PG and register on the MCC portal. Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must hold an MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised medical college.
  • Candidates must have completed a 12-month compulsory rotating internship (CRMI) before the last date of registration for NEET PG.
  • Candidates must qualify NEET PG with the minimum required percentile (50th percentile for General/EWS; 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC).

Admission Process

  • Qualify NEET PG conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
  • Register on the MCC portal (mcc.nic.in) for Deemed University PG counselling.
  • Fill and lock college and course preferences, selecting HIMSR under Deemed University category.
  • Seat allotment is done based on NEET PG rank, category (General/Muslim Minority/NRI), and preferences.
  • Download the allotment letter and report to HIMSR, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi with original documents.
