Ques. Is there any management quota or direct admission available for MS Anaesthesiology at HIMSR?
Ans. No. HIMSR does not have any management quota, Delhi state quota, or direct/offline admission for MD/MS programmes. All 49 PG seats (including MS Anaesthesiology) are filled exclusively through MCC All India Quota (AIQ) NEET PG counselling via mcc.nic.in.
Ques. What is the total fee for MS Anaesthesiology at HIMSR, and is there any scholarship?
Ans. The total fee for the 3-year MS programme in Anaesthesiology is Rs. 71,35,000 (tuition fee of Rs. 66,00,000 for 3 years plus one-time charges of Rs. 5,35,000). There is no fee concession or scholarship for MD/MS students. However, all admitted students receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 80,000 (total Rs. 28,80,000 over 3 years), which substantially reduces the net cost.
Ques. How many seats are available for MS Anaesthesiology at HIMSR?
Ans. There are 4 seats for MS Anaesthesiology at HIMSR. Out of the total 49 MD/MS seats, 21 are for General/Open category, 21 are for Muslim Minority (by birth), and 7 are for NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign/PIO/OCI candidates.
Ques. What is the clinical exposure like for MS Anaesthesiology at HIMSR?
Ans. HAH Centenary Hospital, the associated teaching hospital of HIMSR, has a busy surgical complex with multiple operation theatres handling general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, ENT, ophthalmology, and other specialties. MS Anaesthesiology residents get comprehensive exposure to general anaesthesia, regional blocks, obstetric anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, and critical care/ICU management.

Ques. What documents are required at the time of reporting to HIMSR after seat allotment?
Ans. Candidates must carry original documents including MBBS degree/provisional certificate, mark sheets of all MBBS professional exams, internship completion certificate, NEET PG admit card and scorecard, MCC allotment letter, category certificate (if applicable), minority affidavit (for Muslim Minority category), gap affidavit (if applicable), and a Demand Draft for the fee amount. Prior appointment via email (admission@himsr.co.in) is mandatory before reporting.
