University of Calgary Courses and Fees 2025

• The course curriculum was moderate. I won't call it very easy or very difficult. It was a mix of both practical and theoretical.
• The most positive aspects include that there were some very good courses, which are really needed in the industry nowadays, and the professors teaching those courses were really good. As for negative aspects, some courses were not that useful and professors for those courses were also very casual.
• There were two 1,1.5-hour lectures per week for each course and they usually happened from Monday to Thursday.
• The average number was 40-50 and more than 90% were from India.

• I didn't take hostel so it was separate. For my fee, it was around $2500 for 3 units per course. We had to take at least 10 courses or a maximum of 12 courses. So if we multiply, the fee can range from 25,000 to 30,000 CAD for the whole course.
• The fee was increased a lot after our batch graduated.
• The fee was credit (unit)-based but was charged every semester.

  • Groceries: 200 CAD
  • Transportation: 150 CAD
  • Phone bills: 50-70 CAD
  • Misc.: 100 CAD
  • Total expenses: 1300-1500 CAD, apart from the education fee.
• These numbers will change depending upon inflation in the last 2–3 years.

Her coursework is updated, specifically in graduate-level courses. I have seen many professors teaching with the help of recent research papers. The instructor gives some application-based problems in the assignments. I would say its much better but not easy.

I am pretty much content with the course syllabus. They are covering the topics that are helpful to the graduates.

For a year it is approximately 12 lakhs. There is a chance that it will increase in the coming years though since the demand for seats is increasing.

The curriculum is really good for electrical students. I was a computer science major and had limited options to choose from.

Great. I have had a great time at University of Calgary. I have made so many friends both Indian and international. My professional network is also expanding due to the different opportunities offered by University. I am working on a research project and technically Canadian work experience in the domain in which I want to pursue my career. The courses were challenging and fun.

You can choose courses whatever you like. It is very much relevant to me. One can go through the course list on the university website.
