Campus Life

UniSA has a vast number of clubs and events happening on the campus. The best way to keep a track of them is to follow their instagram account.

There are various student accommodations which is closer to campus like UrbanNest, but is costlier compared to different accommodation facilities. The average rental that needs to be paid is around 250$ AUD every week. Other Utilities like Electricity, water and Internet might vary from rental to rental.

Dislikes:

  • Nothing much that I actually disliked about the university. Its a nice beautiful campus located in Adelaide which has a train facility from the city. However, I had to switch between the city campus and Mawson lakes campus depending on the chosen topic. null

Campus Life

Campus life was good with regular events and activities. I haven’t got much of a chance to experience it but it was always busy.

I stayed in a shared accommodation(2 people) at a lodge close to the city. I used to pay $135/week. But the costs have risen significantly post covid.

The accomodations are excellent and based on the budget of the students. The range goes from 150 AUD per week to 400 AUD per week. The students can choose fr mom shared apartment to getting their own flat. One of the benefits is student can share accomodations with Australian families for better understanding of the culture.

I chose University of South Australia for the following reasons: 1. Ranking: it is one of the top ranked universities in the world for accounting and finance. It is ranked in top 100 for accounts and finance and is ranked never 1 In Australia for quality education. Also it is top 30 in the world young university rankings. 2. Cost: it fitted my budget fabulously so it became a top preference pretty quick. 3. Location: The University of South Australia is located in Adelaide which is one of the most desirable places to live in the world according to world living index.

I live with my sibling and her husband so I don't have an extra cost , my usual monthly expenses are within 500aud which includes transport, medication, and other facilities

Because it's in Adelaide where sibling is also studying, I had good reviews about this university from my sister

Many student accomodations are available in the city centre but they are quite costly but totally worth the money as they provide many facilities. If you don't want that you can rent a room in a share house or if you have friends u can rent a full house for yourselves and that is the cheapest option.

I wanted to do Pharmacy and UniSA is the only university in SA that offers this course and that too without maths as I did PCB in year 12. Also, Adelaide is a very good city as it is small and comfortable with everything in a radius of 10km. Therefore, it is very easy and fast to get to the universities from any part of Adelaide and thus students can invest more time on studies rather than on transport.

It was the first offer I received and I didn't want to wait for one from Adelaide Uni, as I had been panicking about whether or not the grades I provided were indeed up to scratch for University-level education. When I looked into it I also discovered that the courses were very similar and there was no particular reason I necessarily needed to go to Adelaide.

I'm in a shared house with some friends I know through my connections. I really love it here and find it convenient to get around. I haven't heard much good regarding the uni accommodations but it seems alright

It has a good reputation in the arts as well as a high percentage of graduate careers. Also just because it was the first university I got accepted into and I just went for it without waiting for any other responses.

I live at home so this doesn't really apply to me. I like to balance study at uni and at work.

It had my course and good facilities.

The university was well advertised at school and on an orientation day. The facilities suit my needs and the location is suitable for me (closer than others). My chosen course was also only offered at this university.
