COMEDK UGET 2014: Paper Analysis

The COMEDK UGET 2014 was a moderately challenging examination, intended to evaluate the originality and problem-solving skills of the candidates in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Physics: The section was balanced in terms of both conceptual and numerical problems. Areas such as mechanics, optics and electromagnetic were relatively more represented. There were a few simple problems, however the more sophisticated problems required to solve was exceedingly complex.
Chemistry: The Chemistry section was more straightforward than the other two subjects with a good distribution of problems across Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. In addition, Organic Chemistry dominated the problems especially reaction mechanism processes.
Mathematics: The Mathematics section was difficult particularly in topics such as Calculus, Geometrical Coordinate Geometry and Algebra. There were several time consuming problems that required advanced problem-solving skills.
