Michigan State University Acceptance Rate for Indian Students
Michigan State University reports an overall acceptance rate near 85%, based on third-party estimates from published US Department of Education statistics. MSU does not publish a separate international or India-specific acceptance figure. Admit odds vary sharply by college, with Broad Business and Engineering more selective than the College of Arts and Letters.
How Selective Is Michigan State by College
Broad Business and Engineering enrol Indian applicants at the top of the 1100 to 1320 mid-band SAT, while Communication, Education, and Social Sciences carry wider bands. The College of Natural Science admits strong Class XII performers with a demonstrated interest in a specific major.
MSU Ranking Signal for Indian Applicants
Michigan State sits at QS World Rankings 2027 rank 182, with strong subject-level positions in Supply Chain (top 5 globally in ARWU), Education, and Communication. - There are only a handful of universities that offer programs starting in spring which is what I was looking for. With that experience and criteria, I was able to shortlist 3 universities – University of Illinois Chicago, University of Connecticut and Michigan State University. After this it was another easy choice because MSU offered a 12-month program while the other programs lasted for at least 18 months. Also given the fact that Michigan has way smaller number of Indians than the other states it gave me an opportunity to get better exposure while interacting with people from other countries. I really knew what I had to do, and I chose MSU.
- The best part about MSU is that there is much more diversity than other schools. Especially if you are an Indian looking for exposure, this is a good place to be. Over the last couple of years, the influx of grad students has grown exponentially that almost all the big states are flooded with Indians. MSU offers a much diverse population among students and staff, which is great to gain exposure and push your limits.

- "If I had to mention one thing, it's the weather. Not to blame the university for this, but it gets extremely cold in winters and the weather persists like that for around 5 months. Another thing that I would improve about MSU is campus security. I encountered a shooting event in the very second month. That event got me terrified for a week!"
Overview
I'm not sure if I'm the best person to answer this question because I haven't really gotten complete college experience from MSU. That's because I'm enrolled with the 12 month program which is very fast-paced and barely leaves us time to enjoy and take part in other stuff on campus. But if I am to comment on my program and the experience that I am right now having it is very hectic and mentally challenging. The weather in Michigan also makes it physically challenging in the first four months of the program. Personally I'm loving this because I wanted to challenge myself when I came out of India and I'm getting what I wanted.
Scholarship
There are no scholarships associated with this program no matter how good the profile is. However, we will receive a $1000 fellowship in the Fall semester (last semester as it is a 12-month program that starts in Spring).

Overview
The course is rigorous, including campus facilities, research opportunities, location, scholarship, program ranking.
Scholarship
I have received a scholarship of $21,000 per year for four years of my undergraduate education at Michigan State University.
Overview
I knew that I wanted to go to a college in-state and an MSU was the leading college in business that really caught my eye. It was the perfect distance away from my house which was about an hour and that was great because I could easily get home if I needed to but I wasn't so close that my parents could come up any day or that I felt that I'd be going home too often. On top of that when I visited the campus it was amazing I really loved how everything was so tied in together and so large at the same time. I really felt at home and I really solidified that when I got there. I can go running or for a walk anywhere on campus and it feels like I?m just outside enjoying nature there?s a bunch of trees alongside a bunch of beautiful buildings.
