  • I had the best experience in my University. Our campus is nearly 5000 acres. We have a Ice Skating Arena, Really Big sports Grounds. 3 Fitness Centers along with badminton, Squash, Basketball courts, Yoga rooms , Gyms and Swimming Pools. Its totally free for students to Use. They also have Dance classes for students like Salsa, Zumba etc. Along with guided workout sessions. We have nearly 3 big Libraries along with study areas in every campus.
  • Our university has Indian clubs who host parties like winter ball, Spring fest, Movie nights, Garba Nights, Ganesh Chathurthi and Diwali and New year events as well. There is an inside saying that we can get free food everyday in our campus if we follow all the events hosted in our campus everyday, You always have something or other happening.

  • You have a website called apartments.com which apparently shows all the off campus housing in that area, even university also helps us to find off campus accomodation like Club, Village and Landings are the places where most off campus students live. You need to apply with your i20 and stuff. Also you need to have a guarantor, if you dont you need to pay 2 months rent as deposite which would be around $1000.

Campus Life

MSU is one of the biggest land grant universities in the US meaning it is a very big university spread across the town of East Lansing. The infrastructure is top class with great Wi-Fi connectivity over the campus and dining halls for the students. The library resources and the academic buildings are equipped with latest technology that makes teaching and learning processes better. I always prefer to work in the academic buildings by reserving a room for myself rather than staying home because it at least motivates me to work over the day. On the other hand I can't really comment on the extracurricular life and the college life because like I mentioned it's a 12 month program and I barely have time for completing my academic work however I do try to squeeze in small events like student tie dye events coffee hours and meetups. The university also has a very big recreational center with facilities of basketball badminton swimming and other sports which are very well utilized by the students and the faculty of the university.

There are accommodation facilities on campus but for grad students especially people for coming from outside the country may not be affordable. But Michigan is state with very low living cost. In fact the edible groceries are non-taxable. There are good apartment communities within the five kilometer radius of the campus with great bus connectivity to commute to campus every day. These communities are increasing their rents every year but still the monthly expenses including utilities and groceries will be down to a $700 if one lives with a calculated lifestyle. And this expenses can be dealt with very easily if we can secure a part time job on campus. Another good thing about MSU is that it has a lot of on campus part time jobs and they are easily accessible to students.

The campus is very lively. It has more than 800 on campus clubs which really keep you intrigued. There are many gyms which are at accessible locations.

Two people share one room and I like them. A roommate is necessary so that you don't feel alone during your first year of college.

There are many options for living on-campus or off campus. There are dining facilities for on-campus living (the cost comes to around $700 per month excluding food). A cheaper option is to live off campus, where you can find 2-4 sharing bedrooms, depending on your needs. This will cost you around $400-$700 per month.

The university has a variety of research tools available, which interested me. It also has really good global support that gives you the opportunity to network around the world.

Accomodation facility is great I had a dorm and I share it with one person all the necessary things are there and I prefer the dining halls for food it cost about 3000$ / semester ad there are 10 dining halls in campus so you can have access to anyone which is close to your class and it is a good facility

Michigan State University is among the top 3 vet schools of the world and I am a vet med major so it is a privilege for me to be a part of this institute

Currently, I am taking online classes for the fall semester in my home country due to the pandemic situation.

The course is rigorous, including campus facilities, research opportunities, location, scholarship, program ranking.

I lived on campus in Akers Dorm & loved it. I lived in a quad which was great and the cafeteria was downstairs & had a ton of great options. My meal plan was expensive but very convenient and was unlimited food + a combo exchange.

I knew that I wanted to go to a college in-state and an MSU was the leading college in business that really caught my eye. It was the perfect distance away from my house which was about an hour and that was great because I could easily get home if I needed to but I wasn't so close that my parents could come up any day or that I felt that I'd be going home too often. On top of that when I visited the campus it was amazing I really loved how everything was so tied in together and so large at the same time. I really felt at home and I really solidified that when I got there. I can go running or for a walk anywhere on campus and it feels like I?m just outside enjoying nature there?s a bunch of trees alongside a bunch of beautiful buildings.

This college was very close to my home. My siblings went here. Additionally, it offered the program I wanted. Finally, a lot of my friends were also attending school.
