• I stayed off-campus, as they were very affordable compared to campus. Also the grad students prefer to live off campus, as it is more peaceful. The university may help you to find housing. Also, there would be shuttles running around the campus so there will not be any difficulty in transportation to/from your house.
• Rent was about 650 to 700. some places had the wifi and electricity included and some did not.
• The challenge was knowing the location. unless you go and see the place, it is difficult. so better is to get a temporary accommodation and then shift to a permanent one.
• My house was 15 min walking and 10 min by the shuttle

• I opted for an accommodation outside the camps. I felt the campus dorms are comparatively costly compared to the off campus dorms. The off campus accommodation is quite cheap if you take a flat with 4 or 5 of your friends.
• I have a taken a flat with 5 of my friends which costs me around 360 USD per month for my rent. My monthly expenses for my accommodation would be around 400 USD per month. 

• I used online facebook groups to find off-campus housing.
• The monthly rent is around $800, it is quite expensive and you need to start looking early to get good options near campus.
• I live a 10 min walk from campus which is considered very close. Most Indian students stay nearby on Ludlow Ave. There is also the indian store nearby (<5 min walking distance)

• There are lots of apps to find accommodation; apps that helped me are Zillow, Apartment Finder, and Craigslist. You can also join student-specific groups on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Telegram. I connected directly with the landlords; it helped me save the brokerage cost to the agent.
• My rent was around $300 per month for a shared apartment with basic facilities and Wi-Fi at an additional cost. If you are looking for a one-bedroom apartment, then the rent may range from $600-$900. Some apartments offered amenities like a gym, laundry, and parking. It can be difficult to find accommodation due to various reasons, some of which are high competition, long lease terms, language barriers with the landlord and many rental scams. To avoid such issues, I recommend starting with your house hunt before arriving here. Use student groups for genuine leads and talk to the landlord before making payment.
• My apartment was about 15-20 minutes from the university by public transport. Many Indian students prefer areas like Clifton and Corryville, which are close to campus, or Oakley and Mount Adams, which are slightly farther but more affordable. These areas are well-connected by buses and have grocery stores, restaurants, and shops catering to international students.

• For my 1st year I did on-campus accommodation. It was pretty decent. I was in the Calhoun hall, which doesn’t have very big rooms and a kitchen but since I had a meal plan it worked out.
• There residence halls with much bigger rooms and kitchen. It really depends on what you opt for. Since my second year onwards, I switched to off- campus housing because it is much cheaper.
• I found a house at a 15 mins walk distance from campus and live there with 2 other friends of mine.

• On-campus housing is amazing at UC. Just the website provided by UC was enough for me. I also selected a person that I already knew so living here was easy. Rent for my on-campus housing was $1200 a month, which was an apartment. That is the maximum you could be paying. No security challenges were faced by me and the RAs were helpful too.
• This being an urban university, everything was near and accessible.

• I usually say job opportunities depend on what knowledge you have and what level of skills you have. But besides that, you will get more opportunities through this college by applying in Handshake. Most of the average salary would be 80k per annum. The highest salary I can't predict purely depends on skills and knowledge.

• I am not aware of the full-time job opportunities after graduation. But according to Google on average, I think it’s about $60,000 - $65,000 per annum. We have the career fair where many companies come and students can interact with the recruiters.

• I opted for off-campus accommodation.
• I found my accommodation through friends and by joining Telegram and WhatsApp groups for student housing.
• The monthly rent was around $400–$800, which included basic facilities like furniture, internet, and utilities.
• One challenge was finding a place within budget that was close to campus and had good safety measures.
• My recommendation for future students is to start searching early, join student housing groups, and visit the property in person or virtually before finalising.
• My accommodation is about 10 minutes from campus by public transport and 15 minutes by walk. Most Indian students tend to stay in areas like Clifton, Heights, or nearby neighbourhoods that are close to the university.

I chose UC by considering the best education, IT hub, placements, and mainly the scholarship, that the university gives. My overall experience is excellent.
