CAMPUS LIFE AT SRM TRICHY

Likes

The campus is full of trees and always clean and we enjoy the culturals and fest events there is a individual teams to conduct
The teachers and hods are really nice snd good at teaching they help us to teach how to place on high package
There is no restriction like boys not allowed to talk with girls are not to roam

Dislikes

Hostel rooms are good but the hostel food are not even satisfied and some security issues are there like thefts money and more
There is wifi facilities in hostel but the speed is bad
Sometimes we felt that the hostel tap water is not hygienic and it quietly smels bad

Placement Experience:

From 5 semester you can get internships and placements by many of those companies and nearly google,ibm,tcs,wipro and more nearly you can get 95% of students got placed in previous year and my plans is to join with any mnc and work upto i get some amount to start my own business and also I would like to do graphic designing and game development so soon after i start my own business i will join with the designing company

SRM UNLEASHED :

Likes

Classroom facilities (ac ,toucboard,ethernet ),
Golden hours ( atleast half day a week.)
On duty permissiin for reasearch papers etc..,

Dislikes

College hostel food and laundry ( damages and did not refund for the lost clothes)
Library systems (too old versions and few with running errors too)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The olden method of copying codes in paper is followed still now . Moreover I am a cse student why do i want study welding, carpentry , enginnering graphics , constitution of india, evs ? . For first years only three languages are alloted i'll suggest that may one more language is better for the student to learn newer things in programming languages . With concern on students with biology background , cs students also needs to grind the same flour already grinded in 11th and 12th

Detailed honest review of SRM

Likes

Good and helpful faculty who actually care about youu and will take out their time to properly help you understand the topic if you didn't understand the first time
The hostel rooms are nice and Spacey with a balcony and ample ventilation, depending on where your room is you also get a nice view of the farm nearby
They conduct alot of competitions, events and seminars etc. making it a great opportunity to learn and grow.

Dislikes

There is (as of now) no internet in the hostel buildings, making it difficult for the hostelers to study properly. You also barely get network in your room depending on the positioning of your room(they said they'll be fixing this issue soon)
The management is lacking and really slow in doing stuff properly. They say they'll do stuff but take really long to actually properly do it, and meanwhile they give some bad alternative or sometimes no alternative at all.
There is apparently some rule(never heard of) in the college which the girl warden tells them, that girls and boys are not allowed to interact even a bit. Like no standing together, walking, talking or eating which I find stupid.

Placement Experience:

The placement in our college seems to be decent with the maximum package yet(in the 4 years of it having CSE course) was 50lpa. It get visitations from companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro Google, Amazon, etc. and alot of offers are made. Average package seems to be around 7Lpa and about 70% students are getting placements. I personally plan to open a startup after college or would try to get placed in a FAANG company.

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is so good
The availability of good and experienced professors
And also it has no ragging its a ragging free campus

Dislikes

In the beginning of the college there was not any proper allotments of classes
also professors give all the assignment only in the end of sem
The college is still under constant which I feel sometimes is annoying

Placement Experience:

Yeah my college offers lot of placements with gpod amount of annual package I have seen my seniors getting placed in good companies like Amazon and Infosys etc with very good amount of annual package. We can except good placement.

Just SRM things

Likes

The campus is beautiful and environmental friendly, the social interaction in the campus is very good as students from different parts of India come here.
The campus provide regular events and activities and the faculties are very friendly and supportive and knowledgeable.
There are many opportunities for internships and research provided.

Dislikes

Fee charges, they charge very high amount of fee, we should be paying for tution fee and cdc and book and sem exam fee too
Everyone are friendly towards all but The ratio between boy:girl is 60:40
They give lots and lots of assignments during exams and complition of syllabus is bit slow.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited were Amazon, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, HCL Technologies, TVS Motors and etc. Highest package- 57 LPA Average package- 7.5 LPA 60-70% students are being placed during their internship. My plans after getting the degree is higher studies if couldn't get a good package.

College Life

I mostly like the hostel here. Because there are new hostels and are very new and comfortable to stay

Dislikes

Here in the campus we can't leave the campus on our own which makes it a little frustrating because it's B.Tech and everyone expects to be free in these years.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are very good. We have a very good placements in the college. Almost every student's gets the placement in the college. Packages in the college are comparatively better in the college when compared to others.

About my college days

Likes

They don't have any dress as other clges .we can wear any clothes
The labs of the University was very good and they have an mac lab
They always makes an way to study an content in good manner

Dislikes

I don't like the thing called dynamic period once a period completed we need to move to another class
Canteen are not good which doesn't have an ambience and an neat environment

Course Curriculum Overview:

They teach in very understandable way. they gave many assignments to improve our knowledge about the subject. They provide many free periods to learn more and many online courses to improve our knowledge. The CLA exam were conducted between two months so that we can easily face the semester exams

Life in SRM

Likes

I liked the ambience and the environment here. It's peaceful
The faculties are well expertised and are ready to help and they often test our knowledge
The campus has a gym, a supermarket for daily needs and a hospital for medical care

Dislikes

The food and the mess can be improved including the servuce
No proper transportation between the city and the college
The city is located a bit far away from the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course has a bright future and this course is one of the course which requires continuous learning, and in this college, practical thinking is also being taught so that it becomes easier to solve problems in real life. The time period of a semester is a bit short.. that's the only room for improvement

Almost dream life in SRM

Likes

Ambience, infrastructure, campus amenities like supermarket, shops, hospital and medical care
Teaching methods, teachers readiness to help, and the expertise of the staffs
Placement services and coachings provided by the college, and providing courses which helps in placemnts

Dislikes

Distance from the main city of tiruchirapalli
Lack of transportation between the college and the city
Food quality can be improved and the service can be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to pursue B.tech Computer science and engineering from a very young age because of my uncle. The course has a good value in the future and it's gonna help a lot of people. It is helpful for many masters. Course curriculum can be improved by making the semesters a bit longer

Likes

The hostel is super luxurious and clean . We have a super clean bathroom.
We have a balcony to their room so that they could enjoy the view and breeze
Have vending machine inside the hostel which would refilled everyday

Dislikes

The warden is not so friendly and laundry is not punctual
The house keeping services are not regular
Not much of campus life and network issue

Placement Experience:

Since the college only had 100 students from its first batch only a few got campus placements.The college provides students who hadn't got campus placement internships which could help them secure a job and for the final years only two months of classes would be there after that SRM is providing them internships to improve their skills and get high paying jobs
