CSMU B.Pharma FAQs
Ques. What is the difference between the regular B.Pharma and the B.Pharma Lateral Entry at CSMU?
Ans. The regular B.Pharma is a 4-year programme open to students who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. The B.Pharma Lateral Entry is a 3-year programme exclusively for students who have already completed a D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) from a PCI-approved institution. The lateral entry route allows D.Pharm holders to upgrade to a full B.Pharma degree in a shorter duration, recognising their prior pharmacy education.
Ques. Is the B.Pharma (Lateral Entry) from CSMU approved by the Pharmacy Council of India?
Ans. Yes, the B.Pharma programme at CSMU (including the lateral entry route) is offered under the CSMU School of Pharmacy and CSMU School of Pharmaceutical Science and Research (SPSR), both of which are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The degree is recognised for pharmacy practice and registration with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council.
